The space was lovely. Bright, clean and spacious. Tracey lives next door but it felt totally private. She was available for anything we needed. Highly recommended.
This was the perfect place to have a quick family get-away. There was plenty of room for everyone. Michel met us at check in and explained everything. Tracey stopped by later to make sure we were settled in so any issues (and there weren't any) would have been resolved quickly. The property is close to plenty of places to visit and hike. The outdoor fireplace was awesome and very relaxing. The only issue was the tv on the 2nd floor. For older people doing steps is not always the easiest but to enjoy the movie library and visit steps were a must. We would definitely consider this place again for another weekend reunion.
Our family of six spent a fall weekend in this well-appointed house that's not too far from hiking areas, good restaurants, a supermarket, and shopping in Kingston and Rhinebeck. The owner lives up the hill and she's extremely helpful and accommodating.
From long before the actual trip, Tracey communications were quick and informative. We were greeted upon our arrival, and Tracey and Michel were available at our beckoning. They take meticulous care of the house and property. The house was very conducive to my family of 6. The pond was great for swimming and fishing. We found lots of neat adventures in the surrounding towns. Highly recommend this for people looking to escape city life for a bit.
We had a wonderful stay over Father's Day weekend at Tracey's house. Everything was as beautiful as advertised and the furnishings and amenities are even nicer in person than in the photos. We were two families with four adults, four kids and 1 Shih Tzu visiting for two nights for a half marathon and one mile fun run in New Paltz. The house was the perfect size for all of us. The kids loved having a sleepover in the room with two twins and a full size and we used the master bedroom and also the queen upstairs for the adults. We had plenty of room for everyone and the soaring cathedral ceiling really adds to the spaciousness of the house. It was great for us to have the living room space for adults to relax and chat and the upstairs for the kids to play ping pong and watch a DVD. We all really appreciated the chance to explore the woods and the pond, which the kids loved visiting, even in the rain. Our boys were so excited to (catch and release) fish a little bit. We all used the beautiful patio to sit outside and have a great family grill out. The fireplace was perfect for the kids to make s'mores for dessert. Tracey and her husband were right nearby and so helpful when we needed a new propane tank for the grill. We also loved the location - out and away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to New Paltz and the grocery and drug store within a 10 minute drive. On Tracey's suggestion, we all had a wonderful and relaxing dinner at Westwind Orchard & Cidery, just a few minutes away. The food and cider were excellent. Being able to sit outside and enjoy both while the kids played basketball, cornhole, foosball, and kicked the soccer ball around was heavenly for them and the parents! We had an idyllic stay at this property and hope to return in the future!
The house is just as described, and the hosts are very helpful and close by.
My family had a great time at Tracey's house! The house itself is very comfortable, the property is gorgeous (including, especially the pond!) and the area is also great. Hope to return!
Lovely, well-kept cabin with lots of space for socializing and relaxing. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.
Absolutely loved the location and the property. Would come again.
