Stayed Feb 17, 2024We have booked many different stays through VRBO and always had a good result, but this time that was not the case. The price of this home was so over the top for the location and lack of attention. Upon arrival there was a heap of garbage in the driveway from either the past renter, cleaning crew or painters. There was no book or instructions on what was to be done upon arrival or departure. We were there for a month so we had many questions. We had to call the mgmt company to have the garbage removed from the driveway. Mgmt company gave us the wrong Wifi and never actually had an answer for what the correct wifi was. We had to pay for our own streaming on TVs as none was provided. All of the windows were unlocked (and it is a ranch). We did not find this out for days so anyone could have broken in. The neighborhood was less than desireable. The house across the street literally had 8 cars parked in the yard!! There were no batteries in several of the smoke detectors. We were directly in the plane route to the airport and it was so loud in the back yard you could hardly hear yourself. The grass was like a jungle and was only cut once in the month we stayed. The vacuum left for us literally smelled like a wet dog. Didn't leave us so much as a dish sponge to wash the dishes. Overall I was beyond disappointed. The cost of this rental is so overpriced. I was told by the pool guy that the management company is in Illinois so they have no idea what is going on.
