The home is very well suited for large family gatherings. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and a large yard.
The house was fine but could have used a little love before we arrived. The grounds was definitely in the winter mode still as the three patios were covered in debri and pine needles and no outdoor furniture. The inside wasn’t the cleanest. If it was my property I would really monitor the local cleaning company. The house is a nice set up just looking a bit unmanaged.
This house had plenty of space for 3 generations/2families. It was nice to have plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well-stocked. It was welcoming to have the fire going when we arrived. The beds, bedding, and pillows were all very good. However, the property was not well maintained. -The basement bathroom door was falling off. -We had to shovel the walkway and steps before we could bring in our suitcases. -We had to buy ice-melt. -The hot tub was not working. It would not heat above 86º. -When we texted, emailed, and called about this problem, we were given a generic list of possible solutions--none of which worked. We had counted on using the hot tub after skiing and sledding. -We were even more disappointed when we checked previous reviews of that property which showed this had been a problem for previous renters!
Layout, number of rooms & bathrooms, and location was exactly what we were hoping for. Overall it was pretty clean minus a bunch of the cooking pots/pans & utensils being dirty. There was only a partial roll of paper towels for the kitchen, there were multiple doors falling off the hinges & missing screws and the hot tub was not working (a big amenity that drew us to the property this winter). Not specific to the property but more the communication of the management, we were given the all clear to check in, only to show up and find thigh high snow blocking access to the home. We were given a shovel to clear it 4 1/2 hrs after the all clear to check-in was sent. We had to request the property be shoveled as Vacasa had no idea it wasn’t actually ready. It was okay overall but missed the mark in some areas.
Everything went well.
Nice location and view. Walking distance to the river. Older home with some improvements. Hot tub was dirty when we arrived. Water had fool smell. Otherwise a good place to stay while in McCall.
The location was perfect and the house was super quiet. This house was well stocked in the kitchen as far as serving needs. It was large enough for our quilting group of 9. We liked the beds and the linens were very clean. I would have given 5 stars if the house was just a bit cleaner (we had to wash some of the dishes before using them and one toilet was plugged) and if the kitchen had larger frying pans. Otherwise, this was a good house with enough parking, space to spread out and excellent communication with management company.
The place was overall a nice little place for the weekend for all of us, however there's a few things that we didn't like the drawers in the kitchen wasn't clean we washed everything before we used it and didn't have simple little things like no kitchen towels or rags, salt ,
Spacious with a nice amenities. Definitely met our needs!
We had a reunion that included 5 families and the bedroom layout for this worked out great. The property is clean, has plenty of parking, is located at the bottom of a loop, so street traffic is really minimal, and had great spaces for kids to play and adults to gather. There is no garage access, so if you have bikes or paddleboards or some other expensive equipment that you don't want to leave unsecured in/on your car, take that into consideration. There is a covered carport space for them, but they are visable from the road and neighboring properties. The property has a bbq and a smoker, which is a nice bonus, but the smoker wasn't working during our stay. A nice feature if they get it fixed. The hot tub was nice and clean, the beds where comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and utensils. Most of the pans are not non-stick, but nice stainless, but no cooking oil/spray is provided so be sure to pack some if you aren't wanting to have to try and scrape food off the bottom of the pans. With so many families staying in one house, we really appreciated the fact that the door had a keypad to lock and unlock it so we didn't have to worry about sharing a single key. Lots of toys for the littles to play with, which was great, but not much in line of kids movies, so bring your own. There is wifi, but no Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu or any of that logged in for kids to watch shows and we couldn't figure out if there was cable or not as we weren't sure how to operate the smart tv and switch it to regular tv channels if there were any. We found out we were the first renters since it became a vacation rental, so maybe they will print out some more instructions and info for things like the televisions, HVAC, etc. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again.
