Spacious Grants Pass Home w/ Hot Tub & River Views

We had a wonderful holiday stay with our dogs. The large fenced yard was beautiful overlooking the river. Barbara was super responsive and took good care of us.

The rooms were nice. The only issue was the main first floor bathroom - the tp dispenser was broken and the only electrical outlets are inside the vanity, which makes it difficult if the appliance cord is not long enough.

a few things need some care, but its a rental and some people just dont care which is sad. hot tub was clean, checked that right away. kitchen is good, had to go buy a few things. but other than that. house is in a nice location. on the river, but you can not access is from the back yard, steep drop off. but you can drive to Matson Park, about 20mins west. Drive right out on the rocks and swim and enjoy the riverhost was awesome, she answered all my VM's and calls. and was able to get us early check-in. which was great, since a lot of us had been on the road for 4 hrs.

Great property for a family get together. The 4 king size beds are what incouraged us to choose this property. Loved having large space to be together as well as private space. The deck and back yard were wonderful. The deck overlooking the river is THE PLACE to have have coffee in the morning...Beautiful! Highly recommmend this place we enjoyed it very much. One change I would recommend, Upgrade the small toilets.

This lovely home was the perfect size for 7 adults in town for a wedding. Each couple had a private room & bathroom. The 3 exterior doors for the 4 rooms gave additional privacy. The yard with the deck, hot tub and river front view were great. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed the house. The set up of 2 rooms in main house then 2 separate rooms, outside of main living area worked well for our group. Gave those who wanted quiet time the option. The living area was nice and roomy with a very large screen t.v for our enjoyment. Kitchen had the usual appliances available. A large deck area and hot tub were enjoyed and the hot tub was a big hit. There are geese in area to enjoy, a bit noisy at times but very entertaining. A few things I think should be addressed. There were small little black ants in kitchen and upstairs bathroom. I called and they did address issue yet at time they were still around. The issue might be solved now. The sheets I feel should be updated and more than one towel per person in bathrooms. The convenience to shopping and area attractions was a big plus. The rooms are big and roomy with windows, very pleasant. We would go back and stay again. It was an enjoyable place with a nice grassy area in back yard and also a good working gas grill.

This is a great house for groups for work or enjoying Southern Oregon. The bedrooms are separated and spaces are private. The kitchen is large and well stocked for cooking. There is an expansive deck overlooking the river. The outdoor spaces and deck are ideal for gathering/eating/bbq! I’ve stayed here twice for business and would stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Grants Pass, and would love to return. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the property made it perfect for visiting. We loved how dog friendly it was. The kitchen is reasonably stocked and roomy allowing for more than one person to be working in it. We like to cook all meals since we travel with our adult children and grandchildren. Eating in makes it more comfortable for the little ones and more affordable for all. The dishes and glasses are not designed for little people. There were a few areas that could use improvement. First and foremost the couches in the living room are the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. While aesthetically passable, they are the type of pieces one would expect to find in a college flat. The living room was large and lovely and had a huge TV. We spent plenty of time in there, and all the adults commented on how uncomfortable the couches were. They are out of character here. Also the hot tub was not filled enough. When the jets were turned on, they shot out of the tub like a fountain because they were not below the water level. We got the hose out and filled it, which of course lowered the temperature for a while. It was fine, but should have been checked before our arrival. Lastly, it would be nice if there was a side table that is at least as big as a card table to have for puzzling or game play. We needed the dining table for eating as we were a largish group with children.

We loved the property. The house was impeccably clean.

Owner and manager were easy to get ahold of when we had a couple of issues. Would stay here again if in the area.

We had a small family gathering with small kids & 3 dogs. The house could not have been more perfect. Four very nice bedroom suites, large decks with seating & tables, very nice hot tub & a nice large fenced yard for both large & small dogs. We couldn’t have had a better get away!

The house was wonderful, but I will never use VRBO again if it uses EVOLVE. I want to talk to people when I have a question - not a robot. Also - they need to fix their refrigerator. VERY noisy.

This home was perfect for four couples vacationing together for 52 years. Four master suites were a bonus and spacious and nice. Two are downstairs and two are upstairs. People with disabilities might have trouble navigating this home unless they have the first floor bedroom in the main house. The other two bedrooms are in a detached “carriage house” with one bedroom on the first floor and one on the second floor. The river is beautiful, the hot tub is a big draw and was sparkling clean. The kitchen was very well stocked and equipped. We had many DVDs from past vacations but there wasn’t a DVD player in the home. So we bought one but took it home. This is a good home for family and or friend vacations. It was a wonderful week with best friends.

This was a really nice home! The best Jacuzzi we have ever enjoyed at all the rentals we have stayed at. the view was amazing. However, there is no access to the river.

Portola House worked really well for us. Three generations staying together. Each bedroom was private and ensuite to a very nice bathroom. Common areas allowed for group meals - nice kitchen and plenty of seating. Open to living room with good seating and space for kids to play. Back yard was very spacious - decks, lawn, seating. Summer temps and some smoke from regional fires kept us mostly inside, but air in house was cool and smoke free. Laundry, kids toys, and pet friendly features were a bonus

The home was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Relaxing at the river was soothing. We will be back.

The home is just as pictured. It is spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Enjoyed our family getaway! Kitchen is stocked well and there is a large grill. Ample outdoor space and we used the hot tub several nights.
