Spacious Frankfort Retreat on Bourbon Trail!

Great house. Centrally located for bourbon and horses. Clean. Kitchen great. Nice water view out back. Quiet neighborhood. Host easy and pleasant to work. If we were in the area again definitely would stay. There were two couples and there was plenty of space.

We had 6 people in our group and everyone commented on how clean and nice the house is.We will definitely rent again on our next trip to Frankfort.

We enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family. My Mom and niece had their own rooms. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law had their own bedroom and bathroom. My husband and I had our own as well. The kitchen was furnished with everything to help get us started for our meals.

Our group of four enjoyed our stay at Howard's home. The house was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Good, central location for fun activities in Frankfort, Lexington, and Midway. However, the fireplace wasn't usable which was unfortunate since it was a selling feature for us selecting this home for our vacation. Would stay here again if in the area.

The home was very clean, neighborhood was quiet, location was good for activities in Frankfort. Master bath/shower really needs to have the safety concerns addressed. Our 70 year old parents were with us and there was no way they could occupy the primary bedroom suite. Kitchen was adequately stocked and the view out the back was beautiful.

Very warm and welcoming home. Everything was as listed.

Our group of 5 senior adults had a very comfortable stay in this lovely, well kept home. The kitchen had what we needed and the bathrooms were well stocked. We would stay here again if in the area.

I like when everything is as it should be when you rent a vacation home. This listing is that home. Clean, functional, and in a quiet area. The back deck overlooking the water was nice in the morning. The home is close to Buffalo Trace. Easy 15 minute drive. Every rental has some minor issue. In this case, the master bath did not have towels. Not a big deal, the cleaning crew just forgot. I did not even feel the need to call anyone. A great rental and I obviously gave it a high rating.

We had a great time staying there. It was the perfect distance to all the places we wanted to visit. The lake was beautiful and all the wildlife was so great to watch. Plenty of space to spread out to be together and to have your own space. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It took a day or two to figure the trick of locking the front door with the key, but we figured it. We would definitely return!

The property was clean and in a great location to start and end a day off distillery visits. The queen bed in the upstairs bedroom was one of the most comfortable experienced while traveling.

After hitting the bourbon trail, it was a great spot to relax and look at turtles and wildlife in the backyard. Frankfort is a quaint lovely little town with great restaurants and friendly people.

Great house, local to where we reserved tours. Excellent communication with managing company and owner. Definitely planning to book again.

We really enjoyed the location in the heart of bourbon country.

We had a great time visiting distilleries and the location was great for that. Great sunrise views from the deck!

7 adult family members have planned this trip since last Christmas. We loved the house and it worked out perfectly for us. Howard, the owner, was very quick to respond with help on figuring out the lock system. The only negative is that two of the showers did not produce hot water, We took very quick lukewarm showers-Ha! All in all we had a great time.

This was our family’s Thanksgiving and Christmas weekend. The house accommodated us well. It was super clean and well appointed. I would suggest adding a hand mixer to the kitchen. Otherwise there were plenty of utensils and pans. Opening the front door was a bit tricky but they explained how to do it in their instructions. Lovely home

Beautiful view and great location

My husband and I, along with both of our parents, stayed at this lovely house for the long weekend and it was the perfect retreat to come back to after our days on the bourbon trail. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out, each had our own bathroom, and greatly enjoyed the central and cozy common area that opened up to the kitchen. It made mornings and evenings wonderful all being together and starting and ending our day. All amenities you can think of they had and it DOES have a washer and dryer also that wasn’t included in the description and reviews we read. There was even big bottles of detergent, bleach, fabric softener etc. This was an added bonus as my husband and I were already out of town before this and loved being able to do our laundry. Super convenient to Buffalo Trace every morning to snag the release of the day and the Cattleman’s Roadhouse was a great restaurant less than 5 mins away. House was very clean and put together and they thought of everything. We will absolutely be saying here again on our next trip to the bourbon trail!

Lovely and large home. We appreciated how well-stocked it was with coffee, filters, paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, etc. So many places we have booked have lacked in just the basics. The kitchen is well-stocked with quality items (which has also been lacking at some of the other vrbos). We had to call Howard as we had trouble with the lock and he called back within seconds of getting our message. There is no problem with the lock. Our guys can’t read directions! lol. The driveway is a bit tight with two vehicles but we managed fine plus you can pull your car into the garage. We would stay here again!

Annual trip-#4! Loved the area and the house was very nicely located for all our activities- bourbon tasting, horse racing, apple picking and just soaking in the October days! Well stocked with everything we needed. Back deck was perfect for early morning or late afternoon chats.

Great location to get into Frankfort, hit the highway/freeway, or explore nearby sites. Communication with owner was easy, timely, and informative. House was clean. View was lovely, although water behind the house does attract flying insects. Quiet neighborhood with easy instructions for household rules provided. Bedrooms were spacious. Three bathrooms allowed easy readying for the day or night. Kitchen was well stocked, although we did not cook there. Grill available for those so inclined. Comfortable seating areas upstairs and downstairs to allow folks to spread out. Towels/linens were adequate, but upgrade would not be unappreciated. Stocked well with paper products and soaps. Games, two TVs (Wi-Fi, but no cable, so streaming is option), gathering area for cards must house very good for groups. Loved the arboretum tour at Buffalo Trace. It's a well-run operation and worth a visit (and I am not a bourbon drinker, and I still appreciated the tour). Liked Bourbon on Main for dinner, Rebecca Ruth for chocolate, Sage for lunch, brunch (and the greenhouse next door is lovely). Would recommend and hope to stay in area again.
