The accommodation was roomy and comfortable. We were a fairly large group and had ample space to be together or alone as needed. The parking situation was great too! And we loved having the availability of the pool, which was close to this townhome. It was easy to check in and check out We were also close enough to beach without being in the busyness and there are many grocery stores near by it was the perfect location for a week of exploring Charleston and the surrounding areas!
Welcome to Tides End where you’re instantly greeted by a family of daddy long legs when you walk in through the main door. Proceed to the first bedroom where you can put your stuff on a very wobbly desk that may or may not break as soon as something is set on it. Proceed to the master bedroom where you can find empty pop bottles under the bed. Continue on into the bathroom to find enough pubic hair around the shower to make a grown man’s toupee. Next up, the other full bathroom where there’s a nice year round Halloween decoration of spider webs hanging above the toilet seat. If you don’t like white towels, no worries! Simply spill some water on the ground and wipe it up with a towel and it will instantly change to another color like magic! Continue upstairs where you can designate a dishwasher as the dishwashers seal is no longer on and not able to be used! After trying to navigate the dust and cleaning, relax by the tv that may or may not work due to the internet not working. You can also grab a quick snack between the couch cushions. You get a nice reply of no reply when texting and advising the internet doesn’t work! Want to relax and look out the windows? You’ll have a nice lookout of fogged up windows due to broken seals! Want to continue to relax outside? Relax on the nice wooden bench that is split in the middle and being held up by bricks! Definitely recommend this place if you want to hang out with spiders, cob webs, dust, and dirty floors!
The house was very nice and well equiped. The lack of good internet was a real problem as I had planned to work in the mornings.
The property was great, there are a few things that need fixed: 1. Downstairs toilet just runs the flap in the tank sticks 2. One of the lamps in the living room is about to falll apart 3. The outside couch o the deck broke when we sat on it the wood underneath is rotten 4. The towel rack fell off, just needs an Allen wrench to fix
House is in an excellent location and is spacious . Pool is surprisingly really nice as an alternative to the nearby beach which is excellent. Place is not nearly cleaned enough!!!
We loved our stay at Tides End. It was clean(more important than ever now), beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spacious. There were more supplies than I expected and that was appreciated. While the bedrooms are on the lower level, I appreciated the living space on the upper level so that you have wonderful views of the marsh/bay. And it’s right off of Folly Road so it’s so close to the beach even on busy weekends. Will absolutely stay again!
This condo had plenty of room for 2 adult couples. We enjoyed the restaurants on Folly Beach and found it very convenient to get to the historic district of Charleston. We played gollf at 3 different courses (Ocean Course at Kiawah, Links course at Wild Dunes, and Stonno Ferry), and while none were close, the condo was centrally located. The condo itself is a bot quirky for a rental as the main entrance is to the floor with the bedrooms and the kitchen, dining room, and living room are a floor above. There is an elevator that renters can not use. We are not handicapped, but the elevator would have been nice to haul things up from the garage. All in all, it was a great place to call home away from the snowy northern states of Michigan and Indiana!
