Spacious dog-friendly house with shared pool, private hot tub, & central AC

Beach Keen was a great house! It was very clean when we arrived and had a fresh sent throughout the house. New carpets were very nice throughout the house. All beds and couches were very comfortable! Kitchen was well equipped and lots of counter space! Lots of steps though to get up to the house. Close walk to the beach. We will be back!!

Pros: AC worked, water pressure was good, , luggage lift was a plus, outside shower was nice, house was relatively clean, it is a short walk to the beach. Cons: grass/yard hadn’t been touched in months, 1 outside trash can for a 9 guests filled up on day 2, kitchen was old, outdated but adequate, carpet is old and carpet at a beach house in general is never good. (LVP flooring is cheaper now and easy to install) The place smelled weird and old until WE bought Glade plug-ins but we left them for the next guest(s). Inside lighting was poor, bedrooms are tight with antiquated furniture. But this is a basic beach house for the price you pay. We had a nice week overall spending most of our days on the beach or fishing at the pier. This is why we come not necessarily for the beach house.

We loved being down in Avon, away from the hustle and bustle of the more built-up parts of OBX. The house was perfect for our family of seven, with plenty of room for all. The kitchen has lots of pots, pans, and cooking utensils (albeit a bit well-used). The kids loved the hot tub and how close we were to the beach. We will definitely rent this house again.

Beachy Keen was a great stay in a good location. We watched 4th of July fireworks from the deck and it was great!

Close to the beach & area restaurants. A very comfortable home. The cargo lift was a major plus!! Would definitely rent again.

Lift outside didnt work to get items inside. Mold in first floor bathroom with tub. Warped floor in other first floor bathroom by shower bathroom with tub drain is clogged with hair, HVAC on 2nd floor is locked to 70 and does not go lower. All the dishes in the kitchen were very old and showing signs of wear. Overall the house could use a facelift and some new kitchen tools.

Couldn't get the television to work in the upstairs bedroom. Couples that are up in age there's alot of steps to climb otherwise nice house

Our stay was awesome.! We had a couple small setbacks that our local vacasa rep sorted out in a flash! Will definitely be back in October and I can't say enough about the awesome service we received from Carol and Meredith and the main office. These two are getbthings done and run a business the way it should be ran! A++++

If you’re looking for an inexpensive house for a lot of people it’s fine. It has potential to be a really gray house. The outdoor lighting getting up the stairs is scarce to non existent so be sure to bring a flashlight. Nothing in this house makes sense including the only entrance to the deck containing the hot tub are through two bedrooms. One if you are using it and they’re carpeted. It’s very outdated but sufficient if you plan to be gone most of the time and just sleep there.
