Spacious Dog Friendly Escape w/ Hot Tub & Lake Access

No property is perfect. This one had a few drawbacks. But the benefits FAR outweigh the drawbacks, which is why I’m still rating it so highly. Drawbacks: busy road & busy part of the lake made some of our outdoor time noisy, backyard was equal parts mud and grass (perhaps due to recent rain?) so be careful because it can be slippery, Wi-Fi was a bit clunky when someone wanted to stream a movie, but our family members had no problem using the Wi-Fi to get work doneBenefits: great room and kitchen were very spacious, wonderfully-equipped kitchen, plenty of beds with decent mattresses, 3 full bathrooms, easy walk from back of house down to dock, great deck WITH A GATE to keep in dogs or kids, hot tub operated perfectly, as did all indoor appliances, very easy and quick access to stores, restaurants, state parks, and pretty much everywhere we wanted to go, neighborhood across the street good for walking dogs, games and puzzles available, quick and satisfactory communication with realty company

The property was very well maintained while we visited even with all the snow- stairs were shoveled, driveway was plowed. House was clean. Heaters for colder areas of the house were provided ie basement. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need with the exception of seasonings- salt etc. hot tub was great and ready to use! Great set up for two families with a total of 5 kids! Everyone had a blast!

BLUF: House is great but property mgmt experience was not my fave. House: Great location, closest to water we have had in Deep Creek, pool table, air hockey, and hot tub are delightful, kitchen is fully stocked, etc. Only caveat is the first night pipes or heater or something in the walls made a banging noise from 11:30pm-12:30am but this did not repeat which was nice. Property Management: We've used Railey Vacations before but this time felt a little much. I booked everything through my phone and thought we were set and a day later noticed a couple emails in my inbox stating Your reservation will be canceled today, unless this document is completed in order to secure your booking. I freaked out and tried to complete the paperwork through my phone but it was too complex to do so so had to wait until the next day when I had computer access. I sent a message to Railey saying I needed more time and they granted it, which was great, but the amount of info required for the booking, including having to ask adult friends I am not super close with how old they are felt weird (and something I haven't had to do for other rentals). Despite getting the paperwork in the next day I continued to receive emails saying my reservation would be canceled unless I did X, so I was just on and off stressed until our trip. Also, this is my bad, but checkout was 10am with no late checkout option, which made for an unnecessarily early last morning. Will likely use a different company next time.

Nice common areas. Very spacious and nice bedrooms. Very large well equipped kitchen. Great deck and right on the lake. Very nice hot tub. There is limited parking at top of hill so requires 4WD when there is snow.

Great communication with the property company. Had an issue with the pool table and they sent someone right out on Christmas Eve! We cooked 6/7 nights- and kitchen was awesome! You do have to bring all of your spices, and only one rack in the oven. But plenty of pots/pans, griddle, dishes etc. Keurig and regular coffee pot. Nice sheets and bedding! Bring wood for the fire pit. Hot tub was clean, and AMAZING! The VIEW-STUNNING! Pictures are accurate!

It definitely felt like Christmas during our stay.
