Spacious Capitol Hill Home

We took our middle-school grandson to DC for some quality time. The accommodation we chose did not disappoint! The spiral staircase was the biggest hit with our grandson, while we appreciated the cleanliness of the unit, the beautiful decor, and the communication with the owner. The city was doing maintenance on the water lines the day we arrived (no fault of the owner), and Ed let us know and stocked the refrigerator with bottled water. Union Metro Station was about a mile from the house, but the bus stop to take you straight there was just steps from the door. We used the bus and train most mornings and often used Lyft to return after sightseeing. We appreciated the off-street parking provided. Like most parking in DC, it was tight but accommodated our Grand Highlander. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything needed to cook, but we just did quick breakfasts and sandwiches. We walked to the local Aldi (less than 1/2 mile away) for the few groceries that we needed. The only word of caution that I would say is to make sure that you can do stairs. We both have some of the morning aches associated with those of a certain age and were fine with the steps. We loved having a safe base to use when sharing our nation's capital with our grandson and would not hesitate to recommend.

Beautiful property in a beautiful neighborhood close to all attractions in DC for those visiting. I would stay here again on any future visit to DC! All communications with the property owner were timely and check in was a breeze. Truly enjoyed my stay here!

The place was quiet and wonderful.

Our stay was delightful. Ed was very helpful and communicative. Pictures were accurate. Close to everything and had parking off street which is a huge plus! Would have loved a metro train depot closer but otherwise, this VRBO was perfect for a visit to DC.

My sister and I stayed in this very lovely place located in the Capitol Hill area. It was only four blocks from where my daughter lives so it was very convenient for us who were attending her graduation ceremony.

Very clean and great communication with host. Beds were comfortable, well stocked kitchen and great A/C. Only 2 miles to Capital and other areas of interest.

This corner lot Capitol Hill home was just what we were looking for: a mix of old-home charm with modern convenience in a great location. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! The home was clean, well-decorated and very spacious for two people.

The house was very well kept and had everything a guest could need. The host was super responsive in a very quick fashion to every question we had or every need we encountered. The bus systems were super close to the home and it made it easy to go into center DC. All in all, you couldn't go wrong renting this home!

We had a nice time staying at this property. It was clean, owner was nice and helpful, easy to navigate and parking on site was perfect. We enjoyed walking everywhere and the property was about 30 min walk to all the sites we wanted to see in the downtown area and being in a commuter city it was so easy and safe to walk. A couple small things we would suggest that would of made our stay even better would of been having summer quilts on the beds, the down comforters were too hot in the summer. Treads on the wooden stairs they are beautiful but slippery! Coat hooks at the front door. Also a list of a few nearby restaurant would have been nice to help us find quick meals near the house. Note: Be careful to not use the bathroom sinks while someone is showering they can adjust the temps in the shower.

The property was close to all of the attractions and we felt at home as soon as we arrived.

The property was exactly as advertised - a few blocks away from the Capital. The property was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the comfortable beds and the much-needed air conditioning. We typically grabbed an Uber to get to where we needed to go. Ed was great with communication. One recommendation: have a visitor's book. We always like to see what other guests recommend for restaurants, local must-see stops, etc.

Charming end row house, off street parking a plus. Well stocked, Met all our needs. Will recommend to friends!

This Capitol Hill home was a perfect place for my family and I to enjoy everything the DC area has to offer. We would definitely book it again

This is a beautiful space! It was exactly as pictured on line. We loved everything about it. Throughly enjoyed the courtyard for morning coffee and dinner. Stayed with my 3 sisters. So convenient for walking to all of the sites, memorials and Eastern Market. Off street parking was a huge plus highly recommend for adults who like to walk and sight see

Well appointed home in a great neighborhood. Very comfortable! I would stay there again when in DC.
