Spacious Bethel home with 1/2 mile frontage the Sunday River

The house was a perfect spot for a large family vacation! The house is larger than it looks in the pictures with tons of space for people to spread out and find privacy if they want it. The river was low because of the drought but the kids still loved splashing and sitting in tubes. The backyard is enormous and allowed us to set up several lawn games at once, for variety. The location offers tons of privacy but is still only 5-7 minutes from restaurants, a grocery store, coffee shops, and more. We had 8 adults, 6 kids and a dog, and everyone enjoyed themselves. The house is very well stocked with much of what we needed for cooking, grilling and entertainment. The owner was very communicative and pleasant to work with. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thank you for a memorable week!

We loved our stay in Bethel Maine on the Sunday River! The house was comfortable and very well equipped (especially the kitchen!). Elizabeth was very responsive and helpful. The house has super nice back porch, an amazing (very large) back yard with access to the river where we swam and played much of every day. Our group was 11 people (8 adults and three children aged 9, 6, and 2) and we all had a ton of fun. Lots to do in the area (it was hot so swimming holes were our main destination), and we also enjoyed nearby mini golf, tubing on the Adroscoggin, and watching the stars at night. But the expanse of the Sunday River in our backyard was the big star of the trip. Everyone had fun playing in and exploring the shallow water behind the house. The only thing that makes the house less than perfect is that it's on a major road with considerable traffic noise which can be loud on the back porch, the yard, and even at the river (but not so much inside the house). Our brains learned to block the noise so it was not a big deal most of the time. Overall, we loved the house and especially the river and would not hesitate to return here another year.

We have a group of 14 that came and went. The pictures do not show the whole house. We had plenty of space on days even when all 14 of us were there at the same time. Lots of outdoor space and games available. Elizabeth was very fast responding with recommendations and questions.

We enjoyed our weekend in Bethel while celebrating my sister’s 25th wedding anniversary. The space is perfect for larger family gatherings. We were a total of 5 couples and a couple young adult children along with 4 fur pets and the space allows for privacy as well. We enjoyed the day at Sunday River hiking through some of the trails and taking the scenic chair lift up the mountain. We can’t say enough about how universal the property is. The huge deck and backyard was perfect for the pets and congregating. Some of the members traveling with us took to the river for some fishing. We would definitely stay again. Elizabeth was super responsive with easy check in and check out.

From reserving to the check in process things could nit have gone smoother. The pictures of the property only capture a little bit of the home. Its inviting and comfortable. Once again Puzzle Mountain bakery stand is a great benefitit if you want maine wild blueberry pie with with rhubarb,peach, apple, etc...

We had a terrific vacation with 9 or 10 adults (it varied with one/two-night guests) and one child and two dogs. The house was exactly as advertised. The backyard was huge and very peaceful. It was a little bit of a walk to the river which was low because of the time of year but that didn't stop the kids or the dogs from going down three or four times every day. There was plenty of room for everyone - the 3-part house was ideal whether we wanted to play family game night or find a quiet place to read or sneak off for a nap. Definitely a perfect set-up for a large multi-Gen group. The road out front was a little noisier than we would have liked but we spent 90% of our time on the back deck which was incredible. Every night we sat around the fire pit on the deck and every morning we had coffee outside at one of the 3 other deck spaces. The house was very well stocked with more towels than we could ever have needed and well appointed kitchens. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean and the bathrooms were also very adequate. Even the water pressure was good! The hosts didn't forget a thing and we're very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Cannot say enough about this amazing host and property! Booked for a family vaca...10 adults, 1 child and 1 dog for a week. Communication with Bette was top notch before, during and after our stay! Easy access...enormous house and yard! 3 separate areas for plenty of family or quiet time. All areas were clean and well stocked with all the essentials...the river is accessible thru a short path at the back of the property! Nice sitting area at the rivers edge with crystal clear water. We swam..tubed down the river...hiked and played plenty of games! Large beautiful deck area with a nice fire pit. Close by stores, restaurants and ice cream! This is a 10 star listing so dont wait to book this! We will 100% return to enjoy this property!

Every aspect of our annual family vacation was amazing The large property was perfect for our growing family to be together while having our own space. The property was well stocked with the items as listed with more than we anticipated.. The river area was a tranquil spot to just relax, while the kids explored & played. The hostess had the area & property info available for our review.The area had things to do for the family when we wanted to venture out. We would definitely recomend this property & would love to stay again. Thank you
