Brooksville, Florida
Our property, Ardendales, is a beautifully renovated home with the charm of the early 1900's and all the modern conveniences. Situated in historic downtown Brooksville within walking distance of restaurants, tennis courts, shopping and city park, our beautiful one acre property is on a quiet residential brick street. With five bedrooms and four baths and 3800 sf it sleeps 14 comfortably. It has a parlor, library, very large living room with built-in window daybeds, dining room that seats 18, a butler's pantry, a large kitchen, and an extra suite with a separate entrance with microwave and mini-fridge downstairs. Out back is a 6 burner grill on a large terraced deck next to a comfortably furnished screened room. We've added 1/4 mi of walking paths for a quiet walk through the wooded peaceful 1/2 acre behind the house - a great place to do some bird watching or just relax in the screened room tucked away in the middle of the woods. Equipped with all the conveniences of home you can make this your base while taking day trips to enjoy the surrounding Nature Coast sights, the theme parks in central FL, local beaches, Tampa/St Petersburg's entertainment and dining, etc. Great for family reunions or vacations, out-of-town wedding guests, vacation rental, festival weekends.

We stayed here for a wedding and it fit our group of 11 comfortably. Clean with good communication from the owner. Huge backyard for the kids to play in.
Family Trip 2023: was a trip we had to reschedule from 2022 due to travel issues. We had family from all over coming into Brooksville for this vacation. We had the privilege of renting the whole house and it was just perfect for our family. We mostly enjoyed the historic home and the large gatherings in the main room and dining room. It was perfect for our large family dinners and game nights. I personally enjoyed the early morning walks in the downtown area and the local food and shopping. Our family trip lasted a very short 6 days but we enjoyed every minute and Ardendales was a huge part of that experience. We all look forward to visiting again soon.
This is a lovely old home a couple blocks from the historic Brooksville Town square. Rooms are large with comfortable chairs perfect for reading, having conversation or even napping on the window seats. We had 10 people in residence, 18 people in the evening for pizza and beer and it never felt crowded. My extended family declared Ardendales to be the best place we have ever stayed for a family gathering.
This tremendous property was not only stunning but comfortable and clean for our long family weekend. Host greeted us when arrived, walked us through and showed us thermostats keys, etc., and explained he stays discretely on-site on the other side of property. Everything we needed was available, and met or exceeded our expectations. Some room configurations made for difficult placement of our family members (3-person rooms) but was figured out in the end regardless. Host was very thoughtful and left us a kind welcome note and fruit on the counter, and had everything ready for us when needed.
Our family enjoyed gathering in the big kitchen while my sisters prepared the rehearsal dinner. We had game night in the huge living room that can seat 10-14 people! The dining room even has a table big enough for 14. Our group also enjoyed hanging out in the screen porch as well as the backyard. Too many special touches to hoist to make our stay so special ☺️
Beat was an amazing host. The property was so welcoming. There was so much space and the property was well stocked. This was one of my favorite Vrbo experiences. The location was right downtime. There were lots of places to check out within walking distance. We would come back and stay there again.
Great communication with host from start to finish. Lovely and charming home! More than enough room for five men for golf trip to close by Southern Hills. Would stay again for sure.
This is a great place for a family vacation stay. Huge vintage house with plenty of rooms and great character. Beat, the property manager was there available for service at all times. A great stay
Ardendales is a beautifully restored home in a quaint neighborhood. Our host was gracious and available. We wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the surroundings.
A wonderful home! This home has all your needs. If you need one room or all the house you will need for nothing. We brought family and friends to gather for my sons wedding it was perfect. Beat, the owner was nothing but kind. I highly recommend staying here.
