This spacious home sits among the trees one mile northeast of downtown Groveland, the small, charming town that serves as a gateway to Yosemite National Park. Walk half a mile east to swim, launch your kayak, and sunbathe on the shores of Pine Mountain Lake; tee off at the Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course one mile northwest; and take unforgettable day trips to see El Capitan and Half Dome in Yosemite Valley 48 miles east.
With its large windows, natural wood accents, and lofty, beamed ceilings, the living space is full of outdoor-inspired comfort. Build a cozy fire in the wood-burning stove each morning, use the stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher) to whip up pancakes and bacon in the kitchen, and sit down with your loved ones for breakfast as you make plans for the day ahead. After a morning spent on the lake, you can return home for an afternoon nap in the hammock, a barbecue lunch on one of the two decks, and a friendly game of nine-ball on the private pool table. House was very welcoming, up to date. No issues for our stay. The driveway was a little slippery during the rainy weather while we stayed.
Lovely home. Very clean.
Overall peaceful trip, nice for sitting outside, wildlife watching, enjoying the sunset within the tree-lined view. We come each year for the beach so only spent mornings and evenings at the house but it’s a nice house to come back and relax in, after you make it back up the steep hill and all the stairs… Pros: Well-stocked and nice layout of kitchen Living space Outdoor seating / porch Grill Lots of blankets There is a coffee grinder, even though when asked about this in advance they said there isn’t one Cons: VERY steep driveway, we scraped our car each time in and out and difficult to park on Indoor stairs are steep Not ideal for toddlers or not fully able-bodied individuals (I recently had knee surgery). Both “kid” bedrooms are downstairs and adult bedrooms upstairs. Managed by a company, not the owners, and they might not know all the details of the house or be as responsive, we asked for late check-out morning of but didn’t get a response in time. Trash - you’re expected to take the trash halfway down the hilly driveway which was hard for me with a knee injury and needing to take a soiled diaper out several times a day. Then on trash pickup (I think Mondays) the cans will partially block the driveway. Bring plenty of beach towels. Can walk to the Marina Beach, it’s about a quarter mile, 10 min walk. On the weekends when parking at the beach is restricted to owners only, people park nearly as far back as this house.
Owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Very nice floor plan, neat and tidy as can be, awesome patio decks so plenty of room for outside R & R, close proximity to the lake, and the list goes on and on. The ideal getaway.
The unit itself is very nice but has no A/C so on hot days, which we had, the top floor get real warm each day and lower level is much cooler, but kitchen is on the upper level. We had 94 + degrees in weather each day, but lake was real refreshing FYI - frig in kitchen was not cooling our drinks enough and freezer was not freezing ice cubes all the way no matter what we did to adjust the temperature of frig. Bathroom sink stopper in lower level was not working properly when we arrived.
The home is on the small side but very cozy. The owner’s have put a lot of work and heart into it , which made the stay very pleasant.
Had a great time staying at this cozy cabin. It is the perfect size for two families. Thanks for letting us stay here.
We had the chance to rent this home for a few days earlier this month. Nice house with plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. Thank you!!
The house is very nice and modern. I really love the house... A warning the driveway is very steep and even going slow we scraped our car. The only real issue we had was cleanliness. We got to the cabin on Sunday and there seemed to be tiny pieces of broken glass in the kitchen and there were spots on both tiles in bathrooms with long black hairs. Also, on the second night we discovered in the upper left bedroom there seemed be a large spider living in the corner. I could not stay in that room and bunked up downstairs. It's a great cabin and amazing location. Regardless of my nitpicking, I would highly recommend this cabin and would consider staying there again.
We had a nice time here. The decks are lovely spots for hanging out and the kitchen is modern and well laid out. Walking distance to the lake if you don’t mind walking the main road through Pine Mtn. Some aspects of the home could use updates like the bathrooms and upstairs seating. The house does not have A/C and the top floor gets really warm when it’s over 90 degrees, even with the fans. My parents chose to sleep downstairs in the kids room as a result. Otherwise it’s a comfortable place in a great location. Pine Mtn Lake is awesome, especially if you have children.
