Spacious 5BR Dog-Friendly Home – Walk to Private South Bethany Beach

We stayed at this property for a week in the off season - October 2025 - a family girls getaway. Having 5 bedrooms was perfect, beds are very comfortable. Doors are not sound proof. Having 2 bathrooms was challenging, the owner may want to consider adding a bathroom. Upon arrival, I found stains on the carpets upstairs and downstairs. Unfortunate that a cleaning service did not address this. I used an excellent spot cleaner to remove the stains considering we had a crawling infant with us. The refrigerator had a bleach odor so I added baking soda to absorb & eliminate. This house was solidly built, though now showing many signs of wear. Well equipped kitchen though many older kitchen supplies. We cooked a lot and managed. The toaster oven & dishwasher (maybe refrigerator?) seem newer. Linens package was not worth the cost. Towels were scratchy and thin with detergent smell. Sheets were very thin, clean but detergent smell. The location was very good, quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and many stores & restaurants. All things considered we had a comfortable stay. Just know that this is not a ‘new’ property, you will see flaws.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. You can be on the beach in a 6 minute walk. Convenient outdoor shower to leave the sand outside. This unit is comfortable for up to 10 people with 4 queen beds and 2 singles. The neighborhood is such a delight with trees and quiet streets. The walk to the beach was easy even with preschoolers. The house was nicely decorated and well -equipped, and loved the screened in porch. A minor repair to the hot water was handled quickly and efficiently.

This property was in a quiet neighborhood about 3 blocks from the beach. You could hear the ocean at night, a plus for us. It was very clean with a very well equipped kitchen. My only minor complaint was that the shower curtain liner was very moldy and needs to be replaced, an easy oversight if one is not actually in the shower to see it. If you can't do stairs, it is not the place for you, but otherwise I highly recommend it.'

We were there during Hurricane Ian coming up the coast. The weather was horrible. The place was very clean and plenty of room. My only complaint was no live TV. And that is just because the weather was so bad we didn’t do anything outdoors.

The house overall was very good - short walk to the beach, short drive to downtown Bethany. My family enjoyed our vacation!

The house was nice. It was a little too far from the beach. It was very disappointing that our pups couldn’t enjoy the beach. The screened porch was very nice. The beds were ok. My only complaint was the upstairs bathroom shower liner had mold on it

Great location and house. The kitchen came very well equipped. The property overall had some quirks and dirty spots but nothing major - we had a wonderful time and would gladly book again in the future. Walking distance to the beach and lots of great walking/running paths nearby!

Lovely well kept home with many amenities. Felt more like a home than a rental. Street was a tad too busy for us - hadn’t realized it was a thoroughfare. But the location was convenient, walk to the beach was short and easy and the owners even gracious gave access to their bikes and chairs. Lots of bedrooms and well equipped kitchen and lovely screened in porch.

Good, we needed 5-6 bedrooms and 3 full baths next year.
