Spacious 5BedRooms House Near Millikin Univ – Perfect for Groups & Families!

Quiet neighborhood,

The host was great to communicate with, and he’s put effort into making the bedrooms comfortable. But he has serious issue with his cleaning crew!! But the house - is old and it was filthy! We had to clean the fridge before we could put food away. Literally everything in the kitchen was dirty, plates, silverware, counter tops, microwave, oven. Everything! Stickers everywhere - don’t turn two things on at once?? No dishwasher, which is fine - but no towels to dry dishes. Bathrooms were dirty, upstairs hair on the tiles. Downstairs, cobwebs & cockroach in the bathroom. Upstairs toilet ‘out of order’ Inside there is a stale, musty smell - but there is NO outdoor furniture to sit outside on the porch? And the porch - gross, dirty, dead bugs, lawn clippings, stones etc. It’s a mess. The backyard? Well that’s a hazard, no point even going out there. For Decatur, the street isn’t that bad. Could be way worse. But the owner needs to get the cleaning sorted. Everything in the kitchen needs to be thrown away and replaced - AFTER deep cleaning the cabinets, inside and out. Beds were comfortable - but the cleanliness or lack of were an issue. Host was kind and responsive, but I can’t recommend based on how poorly house was cleaned and state of the kitchen, meant we didn’t risk cooking there. Disappointing. Photos are deceiving and on purpose outside photos and proper kitchen photos missing. I won’t gross anyone out with the photos of mould, dirt, roaches and human hair :-(

Great time & great place!

Visiting son at Millikin and enjoyed the proximity to the university, Fairview Park’s tennis center, and the Woods apartments. Was nice to not have to make the trek to and from Forsyth. Very clean, good communication, comfortable beds.

Property owner was readily available for assistance during our stay. Address on listing is incorrect. Property owner is aware of the error and provided us with the correct address. It wasn’t until we arrived at the property that we learned there is an occupant in the lower level. We would not have booked if we knew this information in advance. Feedback on other issues was provided to the property owner upon checkout.

I booked this property last minute for a family visit and was happy with how quickly the host accommodated us. Communication was prompt and helpful whenever we reached out. The three foam beds were comfortable, and each bedroom had its own TV, which was a nice touch. The living room comfortably seated three on the sofa, with additional seating for three at the dining table. Everything from the furniture to the dishes was in new condition. There were a few discrepancies between the listing and what we experienced. I privately messaging the host about these. The host mentioned that we were only the second group to stay here, and given their interest for feedback, I'm confident these issues will be addressed. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to others.

Location was hit by flood night prior to check in. Owner refunded in full as soon as notified. Things don’t always go as planned but he made it right asap.

Clean and comfy beds. The house had more to offer but we were visiting family so we weren't ’home’ much more than to sleep. I would stay again.
