Spacious 4-bedroom house in charming Charlotte with AC

The property did not match the pictures in the listing, there was essentially no furniture, limited cookware, no towels, no washer/dryer. The fridge in the kitchen freezes everything. The garage was left full of garbage. The rooms smelled like cat/cat litter boxes. Beds were uncomfortable. On the second week of our long term stay the water was shut off at the home due to non payment. The owner then became extremely rude and hostile. We were working on day 3 of no water (no showers, no teeth brushing, no running water, no toilets that flushed.) I got in touch with VRBO and they refunded our stay but we were still at work so I confirmed with VRBO we had until 9 pm to get our stuff out. In the meantime the owner Tasha was blowing up my text messages saying all sorts of horrible things. She told me she didn’t get a dime and we weren’t staying at her house for free. She then sent her young son over and he berated my wife while my son and I hurriedly removed our belongings. We called the sherif and they took three hours to show up (not the best neighborhood.) Our car battery died and we had to wait for roadside assistance. The owner called the police to have our car towed. Save yourself the trouble and the risk of dealing with a crazy family - stay ANYWHERE else in Charlotte.
