We stayed in Lee and Nadia’s beautiful place for Thanksgiving week. Everything was just perfect. The house is very comfortable. Spacious and very well appointed. The location couldn’t be better. Very walkable. The only downside…we don’t want to go home!
The house was as advertised. The owner, Lee, met us at the door, showed us around and since nothing went amiss during our stay we had no reason to contact him again. He did leave us his contact numbers and was very friendly and professional. The house is small, comfortable and quaint. It's a 100 year old cottage after all. Old school but enjoyable. We were six adults down from Frisco for a family wedding and with the outdoor patios front and back we did not feel crowded. Long Beach is an old school Southern California beach town and is much upgraded since I worked and lived in the area 45 years ago. We recommend.
The house is beautiful with Spanish flare. The location is fantastic with easy to walk coffee and eateries or a nice jog. Street parking was decent if you are familiar with Cali parking, but loved the garage option as a backup. We truly enjoyed our stay! ☀️ very friendly hosts!
Met the owner at the property to check in. She was very informative about the area! The house has everything we needed and was very comfortable.
We only stayed two nights but from beginning to end the communication with the owners was amazing. We had everything we needed at this property, and it was very clean. The location was perfect, within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. We will definitely come back!
Lee was outstanding in all facets. But the home needs some attention, and I hope that my feedback will help others. There is an unacceptable odor, like sewage, in the bathroom when I step out of the shower. Triggered by hot water? Not sure, but it's there. We only slept in one bed, and it was indeed comfortable, but the bedding needs to go. Suggest crisp white sheets (not flannel-type sheets) and 2 comforters, new. Your bedspread and blanket and sheets need to be retired. Suggest removing entirely the rugs in the bathrooms, as they collect hair, urine and waste. The rug around the toilet in the 1/2 bath literally has a brown drop that looks like something I don't want to think about. No reason for those rugs. If you decide to keep them, they need to be washed before each new guest. If that brown drop is a stain, replace the rug. Refrigerator handle was dirty. I felt debris the first time I opened it, at which time I thoroughly cleaned it, and it was smooth (i.e., clean) the rest of our stay. I know Janet told you, but please have quality (as she said, Mrs. Meyers is a good brand) hand soap, dish soap and lotion at the kitchen sink. People that will spend this daily amount on a rental want quality soap/lotion. Lastly, I would do this, but I realize I'm not the typical man, install a water softener in your home. That will really make your home stand out, and everyone will appreciate soft water. But I'm not using this last suggestion as an element to rate your home. There were many many things we enjoyed about your home, but the things I called-out will prevent us from returning on our next trip to SoCal. Should you address these items, please contact us and let us know so that we may return when we next visit SoCal. Thank you, Lee. I sincerely enjoyed meeting you and Chris.
