Spa View Retreat- Beautiful Mountain Home with Spa! No Pets Allowed

From the beginning, this property was in disrepair. When we got there the kitchen was not clean. The sink was dirty. There were minimal utensils. Old crinkle cut French fries rolled out when I first opened the oven drawer. Finally, the top portion of the built in microwave decided to come off as I was adjacent to it, almost hitting me in the head. The rooms were tiny. The room with the double beds were littered with hair against the white sheets. The curtain rods were scattered all over the floors and the shelves were incredibly dusty that people’s allergies were flaring off like the Fourth of July. The coat hangers all had dust. Other than the main bedroom, the other beds were all terrible and uncomfortable. The only thing that was truly good was the jacuzzi. It was clean and warm.

However there are several easy fixes that would make the stay better. The window sills were pretty filthy with dust. A kitchen drawer was broken, there were no oven mitts, and no proper dish towel. Having a broom would have been great too. When we first opened the hot tub lid, the chemicals smelled like urine. Not sure if this is just the type of cleaner, but it made us apprehensive about getting in it.

I stayed here with a few friends this past summer to celebrate my birthday and had a blast. The house was very spacious, clean and overall perfect for our needs. The balcony with the hot tub was the selling point for us! The house is a bit of a windy drive into town and back but didn't bother us too much. The only thing I would recommend is for the owner to supply a few necessities such as a wine opener and condiments that other homes have offered such as salt/pepper etc but not sure if they didn't because of covid. Would 100% stay there again!

Loved staying here! The house was incredibly clean, well kept, very cozy, and functional. The beds, pillows, and bedding were awesome, and we loved the furniture in the living room upstairs. The house is extremely well- maintained with no issues whatsoever. The heat worked well and showers were hot and strong. We absolutely loved the fireplace and hot tub! The hot tub is the cleanest I have seen in a rental! All of the most important things to me were perfect. The only very minor drawbacks were that there was no sponge, dish soap, or lighter for the fireplace so we had to go out and get that (despite trying to avoid the store at all costs), and additional paper towels and toilet paper as there were not enough for our stay. Additionally it snowed and we could not find a shovel. It would have been cool to have some firewood when we arrived. Also minor issues included there was only 1 dish towel that had burn marks, as well as non-functional can opener and pretty old pots and pans. Overall very pleased but with a few very small and easy improvements would have been even more awesome.

This place is spacious, plenty of rooms and beds for everyone, and gave us the cozy cabin feel we were looking for. The spa was perfect, the fireplace warmed up the entire top floor, and it was a great spot for a weekend getaway. We would definitely stay here again!
