Southern Cross is a one story wonder nestled deep in the Wimberley valley. This newly renovated stunner offers rustic yet refined seclusion with acres of wild beauty at your disposal. Southern Cross has an outdoor kitchen with convenient screened in dining area, and an in ground fire pit with intimate seating. Inside you will find a beautiful open floor plan decorated in high end cattle baron grandeur.
The kitchen is a rustic masterpiece. Redone in wood, rock, and aluminum it offers fullsize stainless steel appliances double oven and a unique stone cook top with bar seating for three. The three bedrooms offer three different sleeping experiences. One bedroom has two twin size bunk beds arranged in a sleep-away camp style with room enough for four. The second has a cozy queen size antique metal frame bed. Subtle cowboy accents adorn this special room. Finally, the stately master suite has a king size bed with beautiful wooden bed frame, two plush baby blue velvet chairs, and private access to the outdoors.
With Southern Cross you can grill and enjoy your favorite meal under the stars, or relax by the fire. Whatever activity you choose you are guaranteed to be at the crossroads of sensational and serene.

    This place is amazing! My husband and I and 2 kiddos had a great time. The host was very responsive. The views are amazing. My kids loved the hot tub! Would definitely come back !

    Great house - loved the interior (very comfortable and well equipped) and the fantastic back patio from which you can watch the birds play in the trees each morning. Very clean, well laid out. Able to use the (mostly empty) garage for unloading and loading. Very low light pollution for star viewing at night. Easy to access off of main roads - no miles of lease road travel to dust up your car - and the right distance from town. Outdoor facilities have deteriorated a bit, but didn't inhibit cooking outside and making campfires just about every night. Would return!

    The property is nice without a doubt! However, there were many little things that made the stay somewhat disappointing. We chose this place for the size and amenities for my Son’s wedding day. The lighting is awful, very yellow and not much of it. It made doing hair and makeup difficult at best. There were utensils that were “crusty” sitting in the container on the counter top. The Dish TV in the living room did not work. I tried to communicate with the property to resolve it. It never got resolved. The property management was relatively quick to communicate about early check in and check out though, so I will give them that. The outdoor grill was unclean and we were unable to get it to light. This was disappointing because this was one of the reasons we chose this property. There were other little nuances that were just odd, such as no internet and cell service is terrible depending on who your carrier is. There were no bath rugs provided, which is a slip hazard when stepping out of the shower. The placement of the water closet in the Master with respect to the outside door was just really strange! I love the Hill Country, the view and quiet were peaceful for sure! I would not, however, return to this property.

    The home is nice and up to date. It’s about 10 minutes outside Wimberley, 20 minutes from Canyon lake and 25 from San Marcos! The house is secluded and quiet!
