Southern Comfort - Seven Bedroom Second Row Home with Ocean Views

This place was great and the best part was how spacious the general areas are (living room, kitchen, and porches). The property has a keyless entry but you are still required to go to the leasing office before getting acres to the property. I’d recommend that changing as it could be a hassle in the summer when things are crazy. Overall a wonderful property, with great amenities and location right across the street from the beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is great and has everything need for a great vacation. However, the dryer did not work. I found out when we tried to use it. When I contacted the Realty Company, I was told there was a part that had been ordered but when it was installed the dryer still did not work. I feel like I should have been informed about this when I arrived. It was not fixed or replaced the week we stayed there. The only option we were offered was to take our laundry to the laundry mat and we would be reimbursed. I did not go on vacation to go to a laundry mat. I was also told there was not a dryer to replace it with but the owner would be contacted to see if a new one could be purchased. I don't know if the owner was contacted or not because I never heard back from anyone.This is a great house to spend my vacation but I was very disappointed in the communication from the Realty Company.

Southern Comfort was just what our famoly needed. Right across from beach.

Our view of the beach and ocean was outstanding. Due to having an elevator in the home, my dad was able to not only see his great grandkids on the beach, but could see the ocean for the first time in years. Towels and linens were provided so it was less for us to pack and wash upon returning home. The water pressure in all the bathrooms was great for showering and no problems with the water temperature.

Plenty of seating for dining and hanging out in the main living area, and kitchen had everything we needed, as we prepare almost all meals. However, elevator was jenky, AC was virtually non-existent on first floor, pool lights did not work, dryer did not work, most TVs were not functioning properly, and we encountered a few bugs. Perhaps these issues were due to it being end of season, and hopefully they will be fixed prior to next season. I would not recommend at this time; however, if the above repairs were made, I would consider renting again.

The location was perfect and even though it wasn’t ocean front the view across the street was stellar since the lot was open. The house was clean and decently stocked. Only issue was that the elevator stopped working and we had to have maintenance come out 3 times but the customer service with Garden City Realty was very helpful. We have considered rebooking again for next year.

My family spent a week at this house (Southern Comfort) the week of 6/24/25-6/21/25. Overall the space of the house was great for my crew of 13. However, the house has 7 beds and 7.5 baths, but only 2 of us could get a warm-hot shower. The water heater could not manage the crowd. The king size beds had mattresses that were like sleeping on a piece of plywood. Not comfortable. The pool was not clean and very cloudy even though a pool service came 2 days to clean it. The house could’ve been a lot cleaner than it was. The location was great, parking for all our cars was great.

The biggest problem we had were the mattresses in the house. They are all older mattresses and some were sagging but they were all uncomfortable. It would be nice to see them upgraded for a comfortable nights sleep. Sometimes the water wouldn't stay hot when several people were taking showers. The house was great but upgraded mattresses would make it excellent.
