Stayed Jun 7, 2026Comfortable and well kept property. This was our second time here. There were a few decorative touches we put away so the toddler wouldn’t get into trouble. The game room delighted her because there were things she could manipulate (food ball, big chess board) without harm. Overall, a great homey place to stay.

Stayed May 22, 2026Beautiful historic home in Cape Charles, VA. We enjoyed our stay over the Memorial Day weekend even though the weather was rainy. It was great to have the game room and our family treasured the time spent together in the charming home. Debbie and her husband were responsive and welcoming, and even came to fix a bike tire they knew was flat before we even noticed it. We did get a brief bike ride in around the neighborhood despite the weather. We would definitely come back again!

Stayed Jul 12, 2025Southern Comfort on the Bay was excellent. The property was clean and well appointed. Every member of our group thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The children enjoyed the game room, and the adults enjoyed the homey atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again. Questions were answered so quickly.

Stayed Jun 11, 2025Beautiful and comfortable old house, updated and well preserved. Good common areas, good closet space, great beach accessories. All bedrooms were kindly furnished , quiet and comfortable. The house is within easy walking distance to the beach which was a perfect habitat for a toddler with gentle water’s edge and clean sand. Easy access and parking or you can rent golf carts for tooling around. The town of Cape Charles is welcoming and offers good food, shops, parks and ice cream! We loved this house and the town and we will certainly visit again.
