Southern Comfort: 3BR Home in the Heart of Memphis

Great house with fun colorful decor, and a large fenced yard for my dog, close to plenty of outdoor green space. We both enjoyed our stay in Memphis!

Upon check-in I could not get into the property, at 3am I struggled outside until the owner remotely unlocked the property. We noticed a plethora of dead insects and live ones inside the house. In the house there were stained pillows and dust/dirt all over house . The lightbulbs were out in the chandelier in the dining area and the house smelled musty & unclean . There was an attic that had fingerprints all over and that scared me a little bit because I was worried that someone might up there. The refrigerator/freezer handle was broken and fell off every time the freezer was opened. The front and backyard had not been cleaned. The back deck was covered in ants, the chairs were covered and dust the lights in the backyard would not come on. The first hallway bathroom door would not close or lock without struggling. The sink in the bathroom also had a constant drip, we found ants in the shower and there was low water pressure in the entire house. When attempting to book the stay I was interrogated about why I was staying there. Only after I was charged a non refundable fee I received a 14 page rule book from the owner of what was and was not allowed to do during my stay. I was told I had to wash towels and dishes and clean up the property before I left. I was there for a funeral & received numerous nuisance text from owner even during the funeral. I took it photos of the condition of the property upon arrival.

Location is great for visiting Rhodes College. Francis was helpful throughout the entire stay.

The home was cute and well maintained. We were appreciative of the cleanliness of the home. The pictures of the home are accurate. And the host was attentive and easy to communicate with. Overall, we would stay here again when visiting Memphis.

This house was in a perfect location for everything we wanted to do and see in Memphis. No more than 10-15 minute drive anywhere. Neighborhood was safe and little traffic. Walked our dog several times a day and saw beautiful flowers, nice landscaping, and neighbors waving hello. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us on this trip, and having a fenced yard was great. Rooms were comfy, just note there are no tvs in the bedrooms. Not a problem for us, we were exhausted each night and were ready for sleep. Comfortable mattresses and nice pillows. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and Francis Mabel was a wonderful host. So quick to reply and answer our questions. And don't be concerned with the driveway. It is not long, but average, and we had no issues with it being low. Great stay here, and I recommend this house to all.

Great stay! Comfortable and clean

We stayed at this property while moving our daughter into college. The house is in a wonderful, quiet and safe neighborhood. It is conveniently located near all of the neat sites and restaurants Memphis has to offer! The house is stunning!!! The owner had put so much attention into detail that it feels like a home away from home. It is well appointed with beautiful furnishings and decor and all the creature comforts you would need. We loved sitting out on the deck in the large backyard in the mornings having our coffee under mature trees. The owner is very responsive and has been one of the kindest hosts I have had the pleasure of renting from. I highly recommend this property if you plan to visit Memphis! We will definitely be renting from her again in the near future! Thank you!

The house is in a great location. Close to a nice shaded walking trail. It was the perfect size for our family of 5. Thé back porch was great for morning coffee! I highly recommend it!! Great communication from the property owner when we had questions.
