Soundside Home w/ Pool, Hot Tub, Media and Game Rooms, Cmty Tennis/Pickleball

Overall great experience and house. Great pool and hot tub. Large house with fun amenities. Everything was pretty much as described. Kitchen could use better pans. No real issues other than while the dishwasher ran, it didn’t clean the dishes. Found most all of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Tried rewashing them and realized the dishwasher must not be working right. Spent the rest of our vacation hand washing which was not pleasant. Also looked as if several bed linens were dirty and just made without washing. We rewashed all the sheets. We felt the house was priced well for what we got and would still stay here again and recommend the house.

We loved our time in Avon but would never stay at this property again. Other than beds being made I’m really not sure what cleaning was done prior to our arrival. Dirt and sand in the beds, crumbs on kitchen counters, cigarette butts all over outside, dirt coming out of the jacuzzi bath tub in master bathroom, pack and play/high chair were absolutely filthy and unusable which was a shame since you’re so far from a store that sells them. We had to make a pallet on the floor for our youngest. It seemed like someone had taken the pack n play to the beach and never attempted to clean it. Rusty nails and loose boards on the decks- one went through my husbands shoe. The a/c did not work the entire stay- thank goodness for a nice ocean breeze with open windows but almost every window is without screens or has a severely ripped screen so it just allowed tons of bugs to come in. The lowest level of the house was warmer than outdoors the entire stay which made enjoying billiards or the movie room unbearable. All in all the location was great but this property was a major let down. We would not stay here again and probably not book with this rental company again knowing what kind of standards they allowed with this specific property.

The house is large and in a great area to have the kids ride their bikes and walk around. Also conveniently located to the shopping center for grocery runs. However, once we got there the code to get in didn’t work. Luckily, the bottom door was open bc a maintenance guy was working on the hot tub, which he mentioned wasn’t working (this didn’t work for 1/2 the time we were there and VERY disappointing bc the weather was colder and we were planning on using that hot tub right away. When I brought this to their attention they mentioned giving us a credit, but we have yet to receive anything back. Also beware that the deck is in need of repair and you can easily get splinters so the kids needed to wear their flip flops. The grill is also not useable bc it is so old and rusty!! To top it all off, the house is currently up for sale and a realtor came by the house while we were there to show the house off to potential buyers. Clearly there was no communication that we were renting that week and no showings should take place. Overall, the house is nice but needs maintenance and better communication with management to make the experience better!

The house is as described with plenty of room for a large family or a couple families together. Although we never used the Jacuzzi or the pool, they both appeared to be a good size compared to other beach houses we've rented. My only critique would be the kitchen could be better equipped.
