Stayed Jul 19, 2020This property is as advertised. It is nice on the inside but the outside especially the back porch are weather beaten. The back deck is in need of repair badly. The outside showers are super convenient. You are a 30 second walk from the Sound and a 5 minute to the beach. Stock up on food because the local stores have essentials but the nearest Grocery store is South 25 minutes (Food Lion). All and All it was a perfect setup for us and location was nice because it is not touristy.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The pictures did not match what we found when we opened the door. The kicked in stove reeking of chemicals, the water pouring out of the laundry machine, the rusty nails sticking out of the porch whose timbers broke off in our hands, the broken and rusty bicycle discarded under the porch, the fan that threatened to fly off its hinges, the dishwasher that needed multiple cycles to clean, but none of that compared to how awful the customer service was at Surf and Sound. I would NEVER rent from them or allow any friends or family to rent a property they managed. Check their other reviews. I am not alone. They were dismissive, unkind, inconsistent and unprofessional. We had to go to their location because they never returned our calls after maintenance came out. We had to cook our meals in a toaster oven. All they had to do was show a little empathy and kindness and it would have been so much better. STAY AWAY from any rental property through Surf and Sound.
