Stayed Jun 26, 2021The pictures of this property are very misleading. The windows leak badly in the rain so there were large puddles on the carpet when we got a storm. The stove fan doesn’t work at all and there is no vent to the outside so every time we cooked, smoke filled the house and the smoke detectors never went off (a violation of fire code policy). There are grease stains on the cabinets above the stove. The lights in the main living room were unfinished, exposed and empty. Some of the chandelier lights were burned out. A chair was held together with packing tape. The screens were torn or loose. A screen door flew off in the wind. The curtain rods were bent. The closet door in one bedroom was off its hinges and placed off to the side. A container of linens was on the front porch all week. There were no pillows on one bed. The deck is coming apart in places and there is green mold everywhere. The ceiling is chipped and falling down in the basement. The downstairs door is missing half of its glass. The ice maker didn't work 5 of the 7 days we were there. And the whole house sways in the wind, which scared the kids. I took photos and videos of everything to document the deficiencies. Also, in order to have linens and towels, we had to pay an extra $200. Even the cheapest hotel room provides linens and towels. Overall this house is nothing like it was represented in the photos except for the view and location. Otherwise it was a dump and I would never recommend anyone stay there, especially for the price we paid, which was WAY too high.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was in a good location. We loved having a private beach in the back yard. We enjoyed the having breakfast in the dining room, which overlooked the sound. And watching the sunset from the deck was awesome. Biggest complaint is about the cleanliness of the house. We found a dirty underwear in one of the beds under the comforter. My wife was very untrusting about the cleanliness of the house. What added to that was we saw very large roaches on more than one occasion. It's not surprising that a house so close to the water and nature will have insects, but you don't expect to see cockroaches, especially ones that large.

Stayed Jul 20, 2019The property was very nice and generally well equipped. They could use better pots and pans (especially pans). It was a bit of an inconvenience to have to bring our own sheets and towels. However, the location was great and we enjoyed the large open space on the top floor with its tremendous views.
