We really enjoyed how it changed with the tides. There are binoculars there which was a great addition.

First the bad...After arriving and putting our things away, we found dog poop on the floor upstairs by the TV area. Unacceptable. If they didn't ensure that dog poop was removed, what else wasn't cleaned? The overall cleanliness wasn't great, but this is an older cabin and some of that is understandable...but not dog poop. The managing company says they will refund us the cleaning fee. The communication with the manager was not great...often feeling like we were speaking to AI. Before we got there, we asked if there were lifejackets available (since the property had kayaks) and were told no. So, we purchased a lifejacket. When we arrived, we found a basket full of lifejackets. The listing says there are 2 kayaks, but there are actually 5-6 kayaks. We brought 2 kayaks with us and probably wouldn't had the listing been accurate. Now the good...The location is great. Water access with use of kayaks is great and we took advantage of that. It's a very quiet neighborhood and that was great. The big decks and outdoor space is great. Overall...I hope the cleaning issue gets resolved, because this is a great location and our viewpoint might have been different had dog poop not been our first experience.

This property was not clean upon arrival. We found dog poop in the TV area by the chair. If the cleaning staff doesn't see dog poop, I can't imagine what else they overlook. They said they would refund $100, but haven't seen that yet. The communication with the management company wasn't great. We asked if lifejackets were available (since there were kayaks there) and we told no and we would have to bring our own. We purchased one lifejacket as a result of this communication. When we arrived, there was a chest full of lifejackets...so we purchased one for nothing. Every time we talked with someone, it felt like AI. This is a great location and the water access is also great. It's a very quiet area and that was nice. There are a lot of good things about this cabin, but finding dog poop on the floor really made our stay less enjoyable.

Loved that the cabin had all that we needed, blankets, games, seasonings, pans, towels etc. no complaints about that. It was very quiet and easy to locate.

The pictures are some what deceiving. We really wanted to enjoy this retreat! The inside smelled and looked by the dirt and dust in the floor and counters as though it hadn’t been cleaned and stayed in for awhile. Some of the plates, pans and silverware still had food and or grease on them. The walls above the shower hasn’t been finished; had the studs showing. The bathroom sink moved around a bit on the counter. Worst of all, the water had light orange color coming out at times. We could smell the rust or iron coming from the water when taking a shower and hand washing dishes. The coffee also had a funny taste due to the water. Aside from all that, the setting of the house in front and off the back to the water was cozy and relaxing.

We loved the water view, fishing off the dock, the ample deck space, and the comfy king bed. Very peaceful and restful few days at this rustic cabin!

This is a very small but cute cabin in a cove just across from Harstene Island. It is a take on shabby chic but misses on comfort. The furnishing were once very nice but are simply too old and uncomfortable now. No good seat in the house. The patio furniture was a better option for comfort. Sadly, a cat had it's way with this little house at some point and after the third day the smell was no longer masked by the cleaning. The carpet upstairs was riddled with stains. It was a bit of a disappointment, really. With some new carpet and a few small upgrades, this cabin would be a repeat destination. As is, I'd give it 2.5 stars. ?

Wanted to love this place but we did not stay. Once we walked the house and saw the state of stains, disrepair and discomfort we immediately searched for somewhere else to go and left. Would be good for access to water but not a place to relax and celebrate.

We had no choice but to head out from Tacoma with our baby still not knowing how to get into the house on our day of arrival. We use T-Mobile which has modest to poor service in rural areas so it was not reassuring! I was ready to book a motel in Shelton if we had to. Standing in front of the door at 4:30 we got a text with the code. I guess they had my email address wrong! Whew! It was a very nice stay after that.
