Sophisticated Boho Home in the heart of James Bay

Perfect little place. Cozy. Clean. Close to downtown harbour. Loved it!

Superb visit. Exceptionally clean and neat home is as described, and household amenities made for a very comfortable stay. Location amenities in Victoria include being on a cycle path, walk downtown along harbor, or to Puget Sound in the other direction. Dog loved the back yard and the local walks to Beacon HIll Park and the waterside. A variety of dining, and Fisherman's Wharf is also within a short walk. Dog is still cranky about having to leave.

We stayed for the month of May with our pet dog Odin. We work from home, and the wifi was great. Smallish, yet super cute place. Had a wonderful relaxing and clean feel. Super central. Walk to downtown in 20 mins, James Bay Centre in 5 mins. Restaurants, cafes and stores nearby (3 blocks). Saturday market 1/2 block away in the summer. Super walkable. 2 parking spaces, lovely fenced back yard (with BBQ, table & chairs etc) for the weekends and evenings. It is right 'downtown' James Bay with a block of flats right next door, so can be a little noisy (depending on what you are expecting). But it was not too bad (and we have been living rurally for 15 years). As I said, very central location. Kitchen well equipped, everything worked! TV. Washer/Dryer. Host was super helpful. All in we loved our stay.

We stayed for a month at this property. It was well equipped, Julie was excellent to deal with and the location couldn’t have been better. A few blocks to the inner harbour, close to fisherman’s wharf and the Dallas road walk along the ocean. Would definitely stay there again. Julie welcomed our dogs and the backyard is lovely. We had a fabulous two-month stay in James Bay at Julie's property. It is an absolute gem in the perfect location for exploring Victoria. We walked everywhere - the harbour and downtown, the breakwater, the gorgeous Dallas Road off-leash area, Beacon Hill Park, Cook Street Village, Fisherman's Wharf...and much more. The house was so lovely and clean - when we first got there, we made a pact that we would keep it in that same beautiful condition our entire stay. With so much to do in the area - those were best laid plans that didn't happen. Our dog loved exploring and sunbathing in the big fenced backyard and we especially loved the sound of the seagulls and the carriage horses walking by. It was truly an amazing stay. Thanks Julie!

Imagine being down the block from the Saturday market and a few short blocks from all the best that James Bay has to offer… with a wonderful backyard and a house that can accommodate family and friends … carefully designed with art from local women artists. This is a gem… and Julie is a superb host… attentive and helpful. We loved our stay in the best neighborhood in Victoria.

Let me start by saying that the location does not get any better than this! Julie is an amazing host and we were lucky to stay at this beautiful property for a month. Our pets loved the spacious backyard and we took advantage of the dining area and practically had all of our meals there. If you’re planning to stay in Victoria you have to stay here, it’s only a block from the busy area yet the street is very peaceful. I walked my dog to the Warf everyday and met many nice and kind neighbours.
