Casita Ristra is a freestanding house artfully created to give one couple or single that perfect luxury downtown Santa Fe living experience. Read my reviews, please, as even my great photos don't quite show how exceptional - inviting and peaceful - the feeling in the casita truly is! You will love the sense of how much care has been put into making this your favorite place to retreat, while being minutes from everything!

Quiet and hidden behind a unique locked double gate, Casita Ristra is only three short blocks from the historic Santa Fe Plaza, two blocks from the Georgia O’Keeffe museum and one from the Santa Fe Convention Center. The Guadalupe Railyard District is also only a few blocks away and a pleasant walk to famous Canyon Road along the Alameda River Walk.

Sunny with high ceilings, hand-carved beams in every room, numerous skylights and historic-style divided-light windows. Colorful Southwest rugs and color scheme warm and brighten the spirit. Feel at home in every way!

You have a private coyote-fenced flagstone patio in the front courtyard perfect for coffee or charcoal-grill barbecue at the umbrella table seating 4 (for your old or new friends!) and a covered pergola patio off the master so you can relax in the Summer shade or watch the snowfall in Winter.

King bed, large airy bedroom, fine linens, soft pillows, ironed pillowcase, a top-quality mattress, 32 Smart HD flatscreen TV and Preferred Cable. The living room also has an extra-large Smart HD flatscreen TV and Preferred Cable and a real wood burning traditional kiva fireplace (with complimentary first-fire fragrant pinon firewood set-up).

The kitchen is fully and thoughtfully equipped with added conveniences, a gas stove, double-door stainless refrigerator (filtered water and ice), microwave, and handsome tableware.

The bathroom has oodles of cabinet storage and a terrific custom-tiled shower (with grab bar) and washer/dryer for your use.

Other amenities include real refrigerated central air-conditioning and forced air heating system, free super-high-speed wireless internet, great closet space with lots of hangers, full-length mirror, luggage racks and extra blankets, overhead fans, extra table fan, humidifier, yoga mat.

We clean the casita ourselves, so it is CLEAN (read: pristine) and everything works!

We did not do the winery tour but I gave it 5* because I didn't want to hurt the rating. This was the nicest vrbo we have ever had and will stay there again if we return. Victoria excells in every aspect as a host. Having a laundry and fireplace was definitely a plus. It was so centrally located to everything we wanted to see and perfect for walkers.

Victoria was super-responsive, even checking in when a storm came through town during our stay. Useful information was shared well in advance & check-in was seamless. The casita is large! In addition to a roomy living room & well-stocked kitchen, there is plenty of space to maneuver around the plush king size bed. The shower is large and lovely; Victoria has added many thoughtful touches. The L-shaped exterior wraps around two sides of the casita, all enclosed behind a stunning aspen fence. While the home is near the Plaza, the feeling is that of a quiet, historic neighborhood. We spent a very comfortable week at Victoria’s casita and would highly recommend it to you.

We could go on and on about how much we enjoyed Casita Ristra, our home away from home for five nights. The central, yet quiet, location couldn't have been better with so many restaurants, sites, park areas, and shopping within walking distance. Inside, the home is beautifully furnished, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The two private patio areas were perfect for enjoying the cool mornings and afternoon sun. We appreciated Victoria's detailed communications before and during our arrival, and her recommendations to activities in the area. Dale Ball Trail, the International Art Museum, the New Mexico History Museum, and the Palace of Governors were spot on to our interests. And, if you're bringing a dog, the 158-acre Frank Ortiz Dog Park is amazing with its vistas and ability to wear out Fido for the day. When we return to Santa Fe, Casita Ristra will be our first choice.

The house was great. It was well stocked, clean and spacious for my wife and I. It was fenced in for privacy and could sit outside and relax and eat as had nice outdoor patios. The location was great. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go in town with the supermarket and Whole Foods only short drives. The owner was great. She provided us with all the information we needed for our stay and was very accessible and helpful with lots of recommendations for restaurants. When we go back to Santa Fe will definitely try to stay there again. It couldn’t have been better

This spacious, attractive, well-equipped, spotless, quiet casita is a short stroll to all the main tourist attractions downtown as well as having easy access by car to the best hiking areas and the opera. The host has provided good guidance to area restaurants and is very responsive to guests’ needs (although there won’t be many she hasn’t anticipated).

After having to move away from Santa Fe last year, we needed a week away from our Denver home during a kitchen remodel. This casita was beyond our expectations. The location is perfect if you want to be near the plaza, the furnishings were tasteful, the accommodation spotless and we really enjoyed using both patios. We're already discussing our next trip so we can book it again.

This was our first trip to Santa Fe and we could not have asked for anything more! Victoria and her casita were huge contributing factors to the succes of our visit. The casita is walking distance to all of the restaurants, museums and galleries that Santa Fe has to offer but was still on a quiet street so we didn't hear or feel the hustle and bustle. Victoria has stocked the casita with everything we needed for our stay. Guests interested in staying for an extended time (hopefully us some time in the not-to-distant future!) will find a home-away-from-home. The outdoor space was an added bonus for our morning coffee and evening beverages. Santa Fe is a magical place and this casita was the perfect launching point allowing us to explore and then reenergize.

First of all, I have to say, that Victoria's Casita Rista is better than the pictures in the listing. We were pleasantly suprised at how much bigger it was than the photos conveyed. The casita was in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance from the plaza. Probably about 8 blocks from the start of Canyon Road. The casita also was immaculately clean with very clear instructions for working all the appliances/locks/etc. Dish soap, laundry soap, kitchen utensils and many spices were available (and a toaster for the wonderful bread sold at the farmers market). WIFI and TV easy to use/connect. The outside patio(s) were also large and private. Parking was off the street and easy. There was some road construction, but once we got to know the neighborhood, it was easy to get around. In the 6 days/nights we were there, we only drove our car 2 or 3 times. So much to do withing walking distance. If you are looking for a private casita for 2 in Santa Fe, this is the place!Eric and Janet

The casita is set back off the street and surrounded by attractive privacy fencing. Quiet ! The decor is relaxed Southwestern, comfortable and clean. The owner has given thought to the needs of her clients, and the casita is VERY well stocked from the kitchen to the bath. The location is close to the plaza and navigation to the outskirts of Santa Fe (like Hyde Park) is simple. Highly recommend

We loved our time in Santa Fe, especially being so walkable to everything from this gorgeous Casita. It was just the right size for 2 people, very comfortable and plenty of space to relax, cook at home, and have a little fire in the kiva fireplace. Our host was extremely communicative. She was fast and helpful to respond to the few questions/issues we had.

As the title says, Victoria was a pleasure to work with. You can tell she really cares about not just the property, but also your stay as well. She goes above and beyond to ensure that you have everything needed for an enjoyable trip. This listing is not just another short term rental owned by some faceless property management company. Victoria has thought of everything necessary for a comfortable stay. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend this listing to anyone that is looking for a CLEAN rental. This is one of those few listings that actually live up to what we would consider clean. We normally travel with our own cleaning supplies and have to do a quick once over upon arrival. Not here! Everything was pristine and exactly as described in the listing. Thank you so much for everything!!! We had a very comfortable stay. PS - Be sure to check out some of her art. She is an amazing photographer!

Over the years I've stayed in dozens of short-term rentals in Santa Fe and this one beats them all. The architecture and décor are understatedly elegant (you can't stop staring at the ceilings), it's loaded with everything you need (especially the kitchen, which is way beyond the usual), it's blocks from the plaza and lots of local restaurants, it's extremely quiet, the patios are private, calm, and relaxing, especially the one off the bedroom, which is where I spent a lot of my time. The central AC works wonderfully (a real concern when Texans travel in the summer). I hope to come back here again and again. Oh, the host is absolutely amazing. Very communicative. She's thought of everything already, but is happy to help with any inconvenience. I can't say enough good things about this place.
