This is a fisherman's dream! Its like your mom let you borrow the house but your little brother was there 1st so you have everything you need just buy groceries. Look in all cabinets before going to store make your list then look again it really has everything i needed there. The sunsets and sunrises are absolutely breathtaking. So quiet and peaceful but the fish are trained with music so play your music and birds and fish will be at your boat. Don't feed the birds ever and anywhere lol trust me lol. I will be back and plan to rent both sides and bring our grand kids! Its really really the only option i will use from now on being able to cook for my family was the best!! Blue dahlia yall!

We loved that we were right on the water on the bay side of the island. My son and I took the kayaks out every morning. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and cookware to be able to cook our own meals. Soaking in the hot tub every evening was the icing on the cake!

This home made my kids truly enjoy their experience at SPI. The owners I felt did everything possible, if not more to make sure you feel at home. I dont think a pricey resort would have accommodated as much this beautiful home did. It made me feel at ease and very relaxed as a busy mom of 5. I hope to return real soon.

My family stayed for a week, and had a lovely stay at The Blue Dahlia! The host is very attentive, and reached out to me during our stay because they had just received their first less-than-stellar review from the stay prior, and wanted to make sure everything was as it should be for us. I appreciate how quickly they responded to the issues mentioned in the prior review. The prior review mentioned the hot tub being dirty and I did confirm for the host that it was full of sand. It turns out there was a mix up on the schedule of the cleaning. She promptly had the guy come out and clean it up so we were able to use it. It was wonderful and the kids loved it!! The house was comfortable, and clean. Shower was fantastic. The bed frames are very squeeky, and the sheets did keep popping off (the mattress is deep but the sheets are standard depth and polyester), but this did not affect our stay, overall! A new set of deep cotton sheets, and this is a non-issue, so I am certain the hosts will address that, as they truly want their guests to enjoy the stay. I would absolutely recommend this home, we had such a lovely stay and the view from the back deck was delightful while eating breakfast If for any reason you have an issue, reach out to the hosts. They will make it right! Thank you again for a lovely stay, we hope to come back soon!

Several issues with this place: first of all it ended up being not enough space for us because one of the “rooms” was on the lower level that was attached to the garage. This so called room had no windows and it smelled moldy and wet. It was scary even for an adult, with exposed pipes and drains and I think it flooded before because the garage door was caved in and one of the bathrooms was down there that had an artificial flower covered in mold. The fan in that bathroom didn’t work which isn’t helpful for the mold. Needless to say nobody wanted to sleep down there. The upstairs had a masters bedroom with a broken queen size bed that was the worst to having to sleep in. The mattress was caving in and the bedframe made a lot of noise just by turning in the bed. We had to rearrange the sleeping situation because of it. In addition the sheets didn’t fit and kept coming off the mattress with every turn which is super gross thinking how many other people sleep in that bed. It was also really disappointing to see that someone else had mentioned the bed issue in their review and clearly nothing was done about it. The other review also mentioned that the jacuzzi had lots of sand in it just two days before we arrived and the same sand was still in the jacuzzi. Jaccuzi was not maintained at all with rust, sand etc. They have a really old water cooler with only empty water jugs so useless, trashcan was broken so you had to open the lid by hand and it was placed the middle of the room.

Beautiful house and area. Was as the pictures show. Close walk to the beach. The Kayaks and bay were a lot of fun. Worked great for our family. There were a few things to note: the large bed was extremely loud with the slightest move because the headboard hit the wall (it was hard to sleep when it was so loud), the dryer would not shut without slamming and adjusting a piece several times, the wagon's wheel was rusted off (not a big deal, we just bought one to take home) and the hot tub had a lot of sand in it when we arrived.

Beautiful beach home , clean and comfortable . Perfectly stocked kitchen. Relaxing hot tub. Great grilling and entertaining area. Downstairs area is separated sleeping quarters more for younger kids./teens that want to be away from family lol but very spacious bathroom. Great view of clayton fireworks . Loved our stay !

We loved this property! The dock outside was perfect for our kids and jet skis. The kitchen was appointed well enough. I was a little uneasy about the 12-13 year old boys sleeping in the bunk room downstairs, as it’s completely separated from the main house, but they did ok.

Great home with boat dock, hot tub, and multiple beds upstairs and down stairs. Definitely would stay again.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house on the water! Everything was so clean and the location was so close to everything! We will definitely be coming back again!

This place was amazing. We are long time visitors to SPI, and this by far the best rental. Plenty to do- kayaking, fishing and hot tub. Unlike a hotel room, you can still continue to enjoy the evening with all kinds of activities without leaving the premises. Highly recommended.

This place is THE PERFECT place on the island!! Close to EVERYTHING yet away enough to come back and chill by the water at night. Communication with Barbara was easy & fast responses!! Thanks Barb!!!

Location was nice. Unfortunately there were storms during our stay but our host was super helpful advising us of things to do on the island. Would stay again.

Great time overall. Water was off for fire hydrant work from the city, but informed by the property owner. Great location central to everything. Would stay again!

House is very nice clean and quite at night everybody was very helpful and would love to stay again
