Ski Access
This home offers winter enthusiasts access to the nearby Dave Murray ski trail and the 2010 Olympic downhill run, which descends to the Creekside Gondola. Please note that the Dave Murray ski-out trail is suitable for an intermediate-level skier and is not well-suited for beginners. The signed entrance to the ski-out is found next to Taluswood the Heights #1, located approximately 200 m from The Lookout #5. At the end of this trail, you will need to take off your skis/snowboard to cross the road, from where you will continue to ski down the Lower Dave Murray Downhill run to get to the Creekside Gondola. The Ski-Home trail is located off the Lower Dave Murray Downhill run. Watch for the Green Olympic rings on the skier's right when descending Dave Murray, turning right, above the Olympic Rings, onto the Home Run trail. Follow this trail (skiing above the Fairmont Heritage Place) to Taluswood the Heights complex, from where it is less than a 3-minute walk back to unit #18. Ski access is weather-dependent, but typically begins in late December and ends in March. The Guest Services team can confirm snow levels shortly before arrival.

Nice place with very responsive team. Great views. Clean and worked great for our group ski trip. Should be noted the ski in and out access route can be very icy and not skiable for those not mid level skiers and thus wouldn’t be ski in and ski out if not at that level.
Our group has stayed in multiple different Taluswood properties over the past few years, but this one has the best view over the valley of any we've stayed at. The hot tub especially, with the open side facing downhill, was well-liked by our group. In terms of the unit itself, I don't think our group had any complaints. Kitchen was functional and had all the tools we needed (though, you will want to stock up on condiments). The upstairs bedroom worked well as a master suite for the couple staying there, and the two downstairs bedrooms could each be converted to either queen or two twin bed configurations. Be warned for ski-in/ski-out, the run to return to the house is rather challenging for new skiers, but certainly doable. Just watch for chairlift pole number ten, barely uphill of the large green Olympic rings. Our party often missed it and walked uphill from the ski-out landing, which wasn't a big hike. Ski-out is a little easier, not as steep and usually fresh snow in the morning.
The accommodations were perfect for our needs. There was a thermostat that was changed in 24 hours, very efficient.
This townhouse was perfect for our family, location fantastic and easy to ski in/out. The service was great as well, would definitely stay here again...the views from the room also wonderful.
This place is lovely and the views are stunning. Property managers were easy to work with and very responsive. We liked being a bit out of the village as it was very quiet but easy access by car or taxi to restaurants.
