Skaket Beach escape: Corner-lot home with big yard - walk to Warm Bayside Shore

House was perfectly ready for us. Very clean, no issues.We loved sitting out on the deck. Truly enjoyed our stay.

Hi- My biggest issue was the Vacasa “manager” who slowly responded to a huge hornets nest in the front of the house. We were unable to use outside space the first 3 days as hornets were flying all over. (I have a severe allergy) They finally sent someone Tuesday who removed the nest. Vacasa should have someone on duty all the time to handle stuff like this apparently they don’t. House is really nice inside, but couches were covered with dog hair and all the dishes that were in the cabinets were greasy and had to be washed. Couches also smelled like dogs. Linen service was nice and sheets and towels were clean. Washer/drier is in a cobweb-filled basement. Not very pleasant or convenient. Porch has nails sticking up on deck so bring your shoes, plenty of storage in shed and grill was large and had spare containers. Loved the proximity of the beach but I would avoid simply due to the lack of attention from the Vacasa managers. Very expensive …

Adorable house only 5 minutes from Skaket beach. There is a short cut you can take down Willie Atwood road to the beach away from the crowds. Great back yard for dogs.

Couldn’t have asked for more! The house was lovely. It was an easy walk to the beach and a nice neighborhood to walk our dog. The house was also close to some good restaurants and the grocery store.

Great little house. Clean, perfect location. Bushes outside are very overgrown but we looked past that. Small bug issue inside house, but that was the only negative. I’d stay here again

House was clean on first impression however, after being in the house we noted lots of bugs that we were living with, I'm sure it was from the neglected yard. Everything was overgrown. You could not see out the front living room windows from the overgrown bush, and entry through the front door was not very attractive with vines and weeds growing across the stairs. The furniture is very old inside and the deck furniture was not very desirable at all. The use of the fire pit was not available as it was stuck almost in the woods with No chairs and no wood provided. As for the kitchen, there wasn't any spices provided. It would be very expensive to replace all those spices that people generally cook with and I would expect the home to be well equipped. Also, two dish towels provided that were so grungy I would not use them on the dishes. Overall I gave the house a 3 just due to the location and size was decent with sheets, towels and toiletries provided.

Close to the beach and restaurants, pet friendly, quiet and nice neighborhood!

Very clean, well-appointed Cape rental in an amazing location! If you don’t know, Skaket Beach is one of the best on the Cape — warmer Bayside water, very shallow, amazing low tide, tons of tide pools, good sand, consistent breeze, and faces Westward for best sunset views. Especially if your party has small kids (like our family), this is the perfect beach and rental. Also super close to center Orleans which has lots of great provisions. The house delighted us with details lightly/not pictured — great deck table/lounge furniture, a gas grill, superb outdoor shower, lots of games/puzzles and beach toys/supplies. Altogether, this home was the perfect home base for an awesome Cape trip!

I visit the Cape on a regular basis - once a month - for work, and this house filled all of our needs: spacious, fabulous location, dog-friendly. The kitchen was stocked with essentials (we tend to cook for ourselves), and the rest of the house had everything we needed. Our dog loved the big yard and the 5-minute walk to beautiful Skaket Beach. We'll come back. Thank you!!
