Niagara-on-the-Lake was originally the site of a Neutral Nation village known as Onghiara. Following its resettlement, by British Loyalists, the village became the first capital of Upper Canada in 1792. The British, along with Six Nations forces and other Native allies, fought Americans for control of this strategic town and region during the War of 1812. Famous Native leaders such as Joseph Brant, John Norton, and John Brant walked these hallowed grounds while they forged and maintained diplomatic relations with Sir William Johnson, John Butler, Sir Isaac Brock, and other historical figures who collectively shaped and defined the borders and character of a new nation.
Six Nations House is appointed with artefacts and decor to respectfully recognise the Six Nations and Native ally contributions to the development of Canada.

perfect spot for 4 ladies to gather and catch up,
Overall the stay was wonderful. All 4 couples would have appreciated an extra blanket in the beds. The fan makes a rattling noise constantly. We shut the fan off. If the furnace needed to come on then fan would run but at least we didn’t need to listen to it 24/7. It was disruptive to sleep and quite loud. Beautiful location and enjoyed the area. Lovely home!
Everything was excellent and walkability to town was great.
House as advertised. Kitchen particularly well appointed in terms of ample dishes, coffee mugs, glassware, cookware, etc.
Me and my 2 sisters were there for 4 days, saw 3 plays.
Excellent
Excellent place for couples to stay with luxurious bedrooms and ensuites. The large kitchen, dining space and living room were comfortable and perfect for large gatherings. Only two blocks away from Queens street. Well stocked kithen.
Great spacious home that has four bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom. Great for large families and family gatherings!
Ample room, clean and beautifully decorated. Walking distance to beach and Queen St.!
The house is gorgeous, all the amenities listed were there. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Perfect place for 4 couples attending the Sip and Sizzle wine tour in NOTL. Beautiful house with 4 beautiful bedrooms each with its own ensuite. We had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Perfect location. Would definitely rent this home again.
Very efficient
Excellent property and great location. Only issue was the presence of midges everywhere. Must be a seasonal thing. Would not hold us back from returning. But we'll come prepared with repellent.
The Six Nations house was really nice! Interior was very clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. Having four bedrooms with their own en-suite with a shared half bath is the only way to go. We will attempt to rent this house for all future trips. Thanks!!
Just a lovely time and place to connect with our “snowbird “ Florida friends. Plays, wine tasting, games, Niagara Falls…all so fun. Highly recommend “A Short History of Niagara” if you haven’t seen. House was well equipped and comfortable for 4 couples.
We liked everything about Six Nations House - location, cleanliness, nice bedrooms and bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen.
This property was perfect for our family. Each couple had their own bed and bath. Washer and dryer in the basement which was great for a week long stay. Well equipped kitchen. Only negative was that for a week long stay we needed to wash the towels in between.
Great house for a group of friends and a great location to visit the wonderful town of Niagara on the Lake.
