Stayed Jun 23, 2024We had a superb holiday, the location was excellent and the owners who lived nearby were very friendly and welcoming. The surrounding countryside was very beautiful and we feel we had our best holiday in France so far.

Stayed Jul 11, 2020Convenient location, clean, quiet. Two small beaches at walking distance, so is the coastal path. Shops and restaurants about 2 km away, unfortunately no bakery nearby. The owners were kind and willing to help, though as always in France, it helps a lot when speaking french. Consequently, communication via e-mail worked very well.

Stayed Sep 30, 2018We enjoyed our 3 day stay in Saint Quai de Portrieux. The area is full of wonderful gems to explore along the coast and beyond. Stephane and Michelle are attentive hosts and provided us with a list of must-see places, which we took full advantage of. Since we arrived late after Sunday and in the off-season (early October and nothing is open on Sunday after twelve noon), they made arrangements for us at a local restaurant, which we enjoyed thoroughly. The couple maintains a lovely and spotlessly clean house with every amenity. The beds are comfortable, the rooms large and the house is only a few minutes to the stunning ocean views and a picturesque hike to the center of town. There is parking out front -though a bit tight for a big car so travel small. As well, the wi-fi is not strong so if you are counting on this service, you will need good cell phone coverage. Overall though, it was a memorable experience and deserves a 5 star rating.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just spent a week in this charming cottage, it is well presented and very clean and in walking distance to the beach and town. There is a handy coastal path which also takes you down to the town. The owners (next door) are very friendly and helpful with places to go, restaurants etc. Just a couple of pointers about the cottage, there is no wardrobe space in the main bedroom (just shelves in a closet) and there is no oven, so don't buy anything that won't warm up in a microwave. Both these issues could be easily resolved and the cottage would then get a 5 star from me.
