Dickeyville, Wisconsin
Newly remolded single family home, located just off the scenic and historic Great River Road (Hwy 61 & 35), we purchased this charming 54 acre farm in 2016. On the property is an old barn, large farmhouse and carriage house, we have spent the last year renovating the houses as well as the barn, which hosts a varity of special events including weddings, birthdays, anniverseries, and many other social gatherings!
This is a great home for entertaining, you will have plenty of room to spread out with the whole family! Features an open concept kitchen, dinning, and living room, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances you need. It would be our pleasure to have you as our guest!
It was as expected for the most part. Entering was awkward from either front or back and quite a distance to carry in luggage. Basement stairs steep with no hand rails. Not told there would be a vehicle in basement garage. There was some food in kitchen refrigerator and cupboard also so I called owner to be sure no one else would show up. She assured me it was their vehicle and we were ok. Only one roll of toilet paper until we found one in basement. On busy highway so lot of road noise . Pictures of house were accurate. We were comfortable. It was clean. Parking awkward since some people going to tire place next door used driveway out back .
We stayed for UW Platteville graduation weekend. Great location, wonderful hosts! Thank you
This was a great place for 6 of us to stay together in one place. The house was comfortable and so were the beds.
Perfect
Nice little place with plenty of room for us to lounge. Views of the Wisconsin countryside were lovely. We crossed the street to the west and watched about a dozen distant fireworks shows on the horizon on July 3, and then sat out back July 4 and did the same looking east. Dickeyville is a nice, walkable town. It was a great location to get to either Galena (~20-30 min) or Dubuque (~15 min), and we visited both. Traveler tip: Galena is a good place to avoid on a holiday weekend, unless you like crowds. Get there early if you want a parking place downtown. :) The tour of Grant's home is worth the time, as is a ride on the Fenelon Place Elevator in Dubuque. Would stay here again.
This house was perfect for our girls trip!! With 4 bedrooms and a big open living room to hang out in! The house was super clean and very easy to get to from Galena and Dubuque! I would highly recommend!!
Went for a fun girls weekend and this was the perfect place to stay! We were able to check in a little early and enjoy. Very spacious and clean!
We arrived late of check in day but woke up next morning to a beautiful view of the area. Sitting in the outskirts of town and atop a hill, you had an amazing view of the area. Nice and quite and truly enjoyable for meeting friends and playing games around the open concept livingroom
Our first Christmas since our mom passed. We wanted a place for our family to get together and this worked perfectly. nice large gathering space. Although the steps to the basement are in an awkward position. still worked perfectly for what we wanted.
Nice clean home. Plenty of space. Would recommend staying at this property. Large rooms and very easy to locate.
