Silver Star Road Suites - Lower Level Suite

From the moment we rang the doorbell, Martin and Frances greeted us warmly like old friends, thoughtfully leaving fresh eggs in the refrigerator. This suit is clean, tidy, cozy, comfortable, and full of character. It boasts a wide variety of condiments and is fully equipped with tableware and kitchenware—truly a gem. We're already planning our next stay!

I had a great stay. The apartment was perfect for my needs and the host were very welcoming, made me feel like a member of the family. I will definitely come back if I have a chance.

Such a beautiful and peaceful property for a relaxing weekend. Martin and Frances were so welcoming and respectful, the chickens were fun to watch, their eggs delicious. The area is close to great biking trails which we took advantage of everyday of our visit, including cooling down at a beautiful waterfall.We will certainly consider returning next year.

The suite is perfect for a short or long term stay, convenient located close to stores but not in the middle of the city. Martin and Francis were very welcoming, and made sure everything was going well in the suite, the eggs were also a great welcome gift!

This property a total godsend. The big carport saved the day for us, as we were in between house moves, loaded to our eyeballs with boxes. This is a most beautiful acreage in a super convenient location. The basement suite has large windows both front and back, very private and quiet. Fully complete with everything for short and long term stays. I managed a few new recipes even able to cook a meal for friends in the very functional kitchen. Entire property is very clean and comfortable. In suite innovative heater works very well. Martin and Frances are most gracious hosts, most accommodating, super friendly. Their eggs are some of the largest chicken eggs we've ever seen, and tasty. We would definitely return to stay if they are still here!

Martin and Frances greeted us on arrival and showed us the suite, they are amazing hosts and treated us like family. The suite is really well equipped and well laid out, a basement suite but with lots of light from the windows. The kitchen has a full size stove, dishwasher, large fridge, pans, utensils, everything you could wish for, best equipped we've stayed in. Vernon is probably our favourite area in the Okanagan, it has that perfect balance of great restaurants and shopping with a small town atmosphere. We hope to return to Martin & Frances soon.

Absolutely loved this cozy and quiet property for a downshifted and relaxed holiday. Martin and Frances are down-to-earth and gracious hosts and genuine people. A bonus was farm fresh eggs! Would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Thank you Martin and Frances!

Property was a small acreage in a central location. Suite was very clean and well equipped for our stay. Host gifted us a dozen farm fresh eggs from the chickens raised on their property. ( Which we enjoyed for breakfast during our stay) The unit was a lower suite, but it offered large windows throughout providing lots of natural light. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet throughout the night. The only negative for us was the futon couch, which can be used for additional sleeping space. For us being well into our senior years, found it lacked comfort and was difficult to get out of when getting up. A second chair would have been much more desirable in the main living area. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. Our hosts were very nice and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable.

Martin met us when we drove in, and helped us get situated with parking, and gave us a little tour of the suite. The entry is in the carport, so very hidden. We were in town for a wedding, and the suite was perfect. Super clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we could ever need, including plenty of utensils, spices, etc. and many nice little extra items such as an ice bucket and fresh eggs! Also, books, games, extra bedding, etc. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels. The A/C unit was centrally located, but they had provided a portable air filtration unit which we moved into the bedroom at night. The temperature was always perfect, even though it was the end of July & hot outside. Bed was very comfortable, and black out curtains were appreciated. We made use of the closet & dresser and unpacked our suitcase. Always makes it feel more like home :) Martin & Frances live upstairs, and we rarely heard them. Washer & dryer are shared, but nice that they are available. We did have some friends over and enjoyed the BBQ and patio. They liked the place so much they will probably book the suite when they are in Vernon visiting family. Location was perfect--the Butcher Boys grocery store just down the street had delicious bagels & bread. The Cambium cider house not too far away was a great place to relax and meet friends (we had two favorites and bought some to take home). The wedding venue (Barn on the Hill) was also nearby.

Nice clean place. Lots of room. Our only concern was that there are also 3 rental units not mentioned in the listing. Not the privacy we hoped to have. It was great to meet and chat with Martin and Frances. They are great hosts and folks. We have no regrets to everything else. Its' a great place just on the city limits. Farm fresh eggs are awesome. Thanks again folks for your hospitality.

We stayed 4 nights. Hosts were friendly and let my son feed the chickens (he loved that). Close to most things we wanted to see.

This location is perfect in its easy access to Vernon and Silver Star. Their accommodations offers comfort with a large treed backyard to relax in. Frances and Martin are very welcoming and friendly, I enjoyed my stay.
