Sidney by the Sea 2 Bedroom 1 Bathroom Livingroom, In a private space

When our original booking for the island fell through with only a few weeks to go before arriving, the number of available properties on short notice was limited. We wound up in Sidney instead of a location further inland as planned. That said, the location of this unit worked out great as we spent more time exploring Sidney than we would have otherwise.This is a few minutes from the Ferry, and is a short drive to the harbour. The unit is functional and clean. The kitchen does not have a conventional stove, but does have induction cooktops and a countertop oven, as well as a BBQ in the driveway. The host left breakfast supplies for us in the fridge, which was a nice touch. The queen bed was very noisy, with springs groaning/grinding anytime someone rolled over, got in/out of bed. Also, as this is the lower level of a house and the owner resides upstairs expect to hear footsteps and occasional voices from above. This was not excessive, but if you live alone in a detached house it will take a bit to get accustomed to! Overall, it was a good, functional property to rent.

The host provided everything needed for a comfortable and wonderful stay including food for breakfast for our 2 night stay. It was a great experience and I would recommend staying here. Thank you so much!

The property was quiet. Everything was well thought of and in good condition. Easy to get to from the ferry and a quick drive to the downtown core of Sydney. The four of us slept like kings. Plenty of tv channels if you have spare time from touristing the beautiful Victoria area. The owner was friendly and explained everything well. As a bonus he has a collector car we admired. He was thoughtful with provisions. Will Definetly stay here again. Highly recommend, just try not to book when we book, hahaha. Ten out of ten.

This is an excellent suite that provided a wonderful stay We had everything we needed--easy parking, stocked kitchen, quiet location, extra towels and bedding, access to laundry and wifi, friendly host. Truly a gem that made our trip with a 7-year old the best family vacation we've had so far.

The property had lots of little extras which made it feel like home! Coffee, milk, cream, shampoos, etc. Etc.

Great area in Sidney. Easily accessible. Fairly close to water and Sidney Pier amenities. Well stocked with extra personal care products and food items such as condiments, etc. The first step into the suite was challenging and perhaps should have a small step build to aid shorter people or anyone whose mobility is limited. Overall we would return another time. 😄 Thank you.

Great spot in a quiet neighbourhood. 2km to the downtown area, which if you can’t walk it has plenty of parking. The space was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The host started us off with fruit, eggs, cream and English muffins which was a nice surprise! We would definitely stay again. One word of caution, the step down into the space is a big deep for short legs and bad backs so be careful!

Nice location near to a beach and a walk to a marina. Not far to downtown. Very reasonably priced for a cute suite.

Very clean and in a good neighborhood close to Hwy 17 and a short drive to downtown Sidney, the ferries, and the airport.

Our stay was great! I left my wallet behind and Dave was quick to answer me and help solve my problem.

It’s not luxurious, but it was as promised and had all of the things you need—other properties should take note! Toiletries like shampoo. Fresh fruit. Eggs and English muffins in case you show up hungry. Thanks for taking care of us!

The Host Dave is very friendly and had the space ready and clean and on time. The door security works great without a jey being required. Dave had put in inital supplies in the fridge and cupboards the cofee machine is spectacular. We used the laundry facilties several times and the garbage, recycle and compost are easily accessible. We only used the front bedroom and the bed is very comfortable. Checkin and check out was fast and simple.Thank you Dave

Host provided several extras - breakfast supplies, fruit and cappuccino coffee maker. Also shower products. The unit was well-appointed and very quiet.

So glad that we could stay here again; so warm, comfy & cozy. Clean & neat, right in town; excellent host; everything we could ask for. And we greatly appreciated not having to worry about grocery shopping when we arrived after dark because everything needed for breakfast is kindly provided. Thanks again for a great stay, Dave!

The suite was spacious and comfortable in an excellent area, close to all amenities. The suite was also equipped with many of the comforts of home - lots of towels, condiments, extra milk and fruit, etc.

This suite has everything you need, plus something you don't expect like groceries in the fridge and coffee in the machine. We enjoyed our time there very much, as well did our dog.

Place came as advertised. Close to downtown. Beds were comfortable and the place was neat and clean. The fancy coffee maker was a hit! Dave was an excellent host.

The suit worked great for us. Good size and location. Had everything you need. If anything there are two things that could have been better: 1. Mattress in main bedroom is super squeaky and 2. Although we had great weather sitting outside wasn’t very appealing to us .

Just a quick weekend trip to Sidney. Place was exactly as listed and was a good home for the weekend. I appreciated the fruit bowl and the coffee machine makes a fantastic coffee.

Dave was great and easy to talk too.

Good value for the price. Pleasantly surprised to find the refrigerator stocked with breakfast items. The two bedrooms were perfect for us. Very quiet neighbourhood and home.

The apartment is squeaky clean, very well appointed, and exudes comfort and welcome! Thank you to Dave Kelly for such a lovely spot to come back to after a very busy day at the dog show.We look forward to seeing the outside changes and are sure to come soon. Thank you for a lovely stay!

It was a nice and clean suite. Very good location close to the ferry terminal.

We had a great stay at this place with no complaints! Quiet and comfortable. Nicely decorated and clean, with breakfast items in the fridge for us to use. We didn't rent a car so it was good to have breakfast items in the house, prior to us going out and exploring. . We took taxi to Butchart Gardens and then found out that we could have taken the bus for much cheaper!! It was close to the airport and close to the ferry to Salt Spring Island where we spent the rest of our time. Thanks, Dave for a good stay.

I was very happy with my stay. Good size, convenient location, and easy process.

Well stocked but property looked tired. Beds were in need of new mattresses.The currant mattesses are in deplorable condition.

Enjoyed our stay! Was clean, convenient and just what we needed to show our teens the best of Victoria. Nice to be out of the hustle n bustle of the city for sleeping! Dave was prompt and responsive with all communication with super easy instructions to gain access to the suite!

This cozy basement apartment is just minutes away from downtown. It is quiet, safe, and the perfect spot to come back to after exploring Sidney and surrounding areas. This rental comes fully stocked with kitchen appliances and even had basic supplies like milk, eggs, butter and muffins so you can enjoy a quiet breakfast and espresso without having to leave! Ample hot water, soft beds and a fireplace in the living room makes this the best find. Been here twice now and will definitely be staying on my next trip.
