Shore Crest, Lake Placid Historic Home, Steps from Main Street with Lake View

It was a beautiful home in the perfect location!

We stayed at this property from Dec 28th through Jan 2nd. The house was just beautiful and the proximity to Main Street cannot be beat. We would not hesitate to rent this home again. The owner was extremely accomodating and communication was great.

Our stay was awesome!! No issues, and they were very easy to work with. Great location for a larger group.

Coffee on the porch watching the sun rise over the mountain as clouds lifted from the lake. Just beautiful! The host was very attentive and we loved this charming house.

Everything was great! Madeleine was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We are a family of 8 and fit comfortably with extra beds!

Great location & amazing property. 6 adults and 4 small children fit very comfortably. We cooked all of our meals in the home. Kitchen and amenities were great. We enjoyed the balcony at night looking out onto the lake. Very accessible to in town activities I.e. kayaking on the lake, public beach, restaurants and shops. Absolutely recommend!

Our family stayed during the Ironman competition and it was the perfect location. We were able to walk to every event. The house is perfect in that every bedroom has its own bathroom. Being a family of 10 there was more than enough room for all. The kitchen stove can be a bit challenging and the bath tub needs a stopping. Otherwise, the house is perfect. We loved having morning coffee and enjoying evenings on the deck.

Outstanding Location. Very clean, comfortable beds, bathrooms for every room is a big plus owners, owners extremely responsive and very easy to work with. Our family of 13 really enjoyed the house and everything that came with it especially easy access to the town and the beach. Would recommend us house to anyone.

We had a group of 10 staying at the house. There was truly so much space, linens were very clean, and the house was even larger than it seemed in the photos. Our experience communicating with the host was great - she was easy to reach and even helped us out by making sure the neighbors car wasn’t in our way. The stay was amazing - you truly cannot get a better location if visiting Lake Placid. The house is right in the middle of the main strip on Mirror Lake. I would love to make this trip again with family.

We rented this property for 10 adults and it was absolutely perfect for us! We were able to walk everywhere, loved the working fireplace, and the views from the deck were spectacular!

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay in Lake Placid! The location couldn’t have been better – nestled right in the heart of this charming mountain town, we were just a short walk from the lake, local shops, and great dining options. Waking up to the peaceful surroundings and stunning views of the Adirondacks made our trip feel like a true retreat from the hustle and bustle.The cozy accommodations added so much to our experience. The space was warm, inviting, and well-equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. After days spent exploring the scenic trails and enjoying outdoor activities, it was a pleasure to return to such a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a blend of adventure and tranquility. The combination of a prime location and cozy charm made our Lake Placid stay unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great time staying at Madeleine's property. The house was spotless when we arrived and we didn't encounter any problems during our stay. The location is great as well since we could walk everywhere.

Each year my family of seven adults and our young granddaughter go to Lake Placid the day after Thanksgiving and stay the weekend. We chose Shore Crest this year and I’m so glad we did! The home is just beautiful and the views are breathtaking! It was clean and large enough for all of us. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and thermostat. The location cannot be beat either! It is only steps away from all the restaurants, shopping, and beauty of downtown. We already plan to return next year! The owners and house manager were great and very attentive, though we had no issues. Thanks so much for a wonderful weekend! We look forward to next year!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was even better in person with views that were absolutely stunning from the front porch. With a group of friends, each of us has a comfy bedroom with attached bathroom which was incredibly convenient. We were also right down town which made it so easy to walk around mirror lake and stop for a coffee or bite to eat. We can’t say enough good things about this property and will absolutely book again!

Our family enjoyed a 5 day stay at Shore Crest in late August. The main room and bedrooms easily accommodated 12 of us and we loved the covered porch overlooking Mirror Lake.

I’ve been making yearly trips up to lake placid for over ten years. This home is beyond the best overall experience I’ve had. Location, house size, bedrooms everything was perfect. I could not leave a review without mentioning the oversized porch with chairs and tables. Enjoying your meals with views of the lake is priceless …ten stars

We had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect for our group and the location was great. The hosts Madeliene and David were wonderful to deal with. If we ever visit Lake Placid in the future I know exactly where we will stay!

Our group of nine adults had one of the best weekends we can recall at Shore Crest. The house itself is sprawling (the pictures don't capture just how spacious it is) yet warm and inviting. The living room and dining area welcome games, hang outs, music and big dinners with ease. Comfy couches and club chairs and plenty of classics movies on VHS make for a fun movie night, and ample outdoor seating makes the porch the perfect overflow area. Each room is well appointed and the beds feel homey. Bathrooms are clean and bright with prompt hot water and great pressure. The kitchen has ample matching dishware and a large fridge. Plenty of luxury items can be found tucked away in the drawers too; citrus juicers and meat thermometers to name a few. The addition of a propane grill made dinner prep a breeze, even for large meals with several courses. The house is ideally located, with all the local attractions within a short walk yet removed enough to keep any main street din at bay. We also used the house as a base camp for some High Peaks hikes, and found that some of the best adventures were just a short drive away. Throw in blazing fast WiFi and an incredibly friendly and accommodating host, and you have a rare find in the heart of the Adirondacks. 100% will return.
