Shellfish Cottage offers gulf views, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen! Steps to beach!

Beautifully decorated home. Well appointed! The layout is a bit funky but the back yard makes up for it. Wish we would have had the option to heat the pool. We will likely head back to the area for sure!

The use of cameras to monitor the pool area made us extremely uncomfortable and according to my research of Florida law makes it illegal as well. It's very frustrating to pay the amount we did and then feel u comfortable to use a space and to be monitored at all times, how can anyone feel safe sun tanning or being in the pool while be videoed honestly it's a bit weird. On top of that the pool cleaner came to the back of the house twice with zero warning or heads up from the rental company or an announcement from him he just walked in while my wife was sunscreening herself, this again is very odd considering there is an outdoor shower with this house, also the maintenance man showed up with zero announcement from the rental company and walked in to change filters while my kids were home alone, this was extremely concerning….We paid way to much money to be intruded on and videoed the entire time….Its really unacceptable

We had a great stay - the cottage is a perfect blend of being close enough to the beach to hear the waves on a quiet night, watch the gorgeous sunsets from the balcony and walk over quickly during the day (2 minutes) yet far enough away with the pool and hot tub to feel like you have your own private destination. Everything was clean and well taken care of and everyone we met was lovely. Believe it or not the pictures do not do it justice - it is even better in person (even though the pics looked great). There were two families staying and we both agreed we would come back. My only feedback for consideration is the fact you get one dishwasher pod and then on check out you are asked to put the dishwasher on - I have no problem with that (and we did do it) but then be a bit more generous with the pods. But literally that was our only thing and if that is the case it is so minor it does not even impact the rating just a small comment. Please tell the owners thank you for letting us in their home - it is very special

This was our second stay at Shellfish Cottage. We love this place! An easy, quick walk to the beach is great and makes it easy with young kids. The house is beautiful, clean, and provides all the tools you need to cook great meals. My only complaint this time is that the hot tub did not work our entire stay. I informed the company on Monday and they send someone out Tuesday. He told us he could not figure it out and would ask someone else. We never heard from anyone after that. We book this house specifically for the outdoor area, so that was a big letdown for us. We'd like to stay again, but we did feel like the problem was slightly pushed to the side.

The house, property and location were absolutely perfect! The walk to the beach was 3 houses away and you're at the water in 3 minutes. The pool was huge and fit our family of 9. We will definitely stay here again.

Arriving on check in day, we were unable to get into the house since the keypad batteries were dead. Pool had rocks & broken seashells at the bottom, and appeared the pool was not filtering properly. You have to pay extra for pool heat (was not stated anywhere on listing or contract). Once we were finally able to reach the management of the rental company things were fixed quickly & were able to enjoy the house. I recommend

My family and I stayed at Shellfish Cottage for Spring Break and had a wonderful time. The weather was cooler at night and some days but the pool stayed warm and we enjoyed it every day. The outdoor space here is so great! It’s the ideal spot for lounging and grilling and just hanging outside. Beach access is literally across the street and you can even watch the sunset from the front balcony. Port St. Joe is quieter than most of 30A and provided the best retreat. The house was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay again.

This was perfect for 2 adults and 6 teenage girls. They had their own space downstairs, loved the pool and hot tub, and the walk to the beach was really quick. We also enjoyed the home for the same reasons. The only reason we didn't rate it as excellent is because of a few little things such as the second floor balcony fan didn't work, the hot tub cover is falling apart and very difficult to get on/off, and the bunk room only has curtains, no door. The master bed is very soft which we don't like, but that's a personal preference. Other than that the home was clean, very well appointed and a great location.
