Shell Knob Guest House w/ Lake View, Fire Pit

The host was great. Responsive when we had an issue. Very accommodating. The place was very quiet. Nice water view.

The host was very accommodating and letting us check in two hours earlier. This place is very clean and nicely stocked with anything you would need.

Home was as pictured. Very clean, right on the lake, beautiful views.

Comfortable cottage with access to the lake. Next door to the main house. Nice view of the lake. The access is steep and rocky. I took kayaks and put them in the lake there. Care needs to be taken navigating the rocky terrain. Overall a very nice stay.

Was really nice , clean , all the comforts of home , was quietness , lay out , rules were basic and simple.

It was a nice getaway for the weekend. There were a couple of raccoons that would peek in the door windows each night that made us laugh.

Exactly as pictured, but not as described. - Yes, there's a fire pit, but it as at the bottom of a steep, rocky incline right next to the water. I don't know how people get down there to enjoy a fire, because it's definitely treacherous. -It was like pulling teeth to get the door instructions, as a huge storm rolled in. - We'd expected the guest house to be separated from the main house. They're closely connected, though, to the point that the neighbors' conversations When they walked on the deck, it sounded like they were in our cabin. There were at least 8 people over there, so there was quite a bit of noise. The morning we left, the neighbors had music playing loudly from their vehicle outside our bedroom window. We were there to enjoy our 10 year anniversary, but it felt like we were guests to strangers.- Otherwise, the only other issue we had was that we weren't aware the max AC temp would be 75. Had we known, we would have brought brought our fan. It was very warm and uncomfortable for my spouse through the night.Do be aware when they say wildlife will try to get into the cabin, its not a joke. We had raccoons coming from all sides to get into the cabin or just investigate us (we didn't have any food outside at any point, but we did hear the child neighbor say they had been feeding them the night before).It may sound like we didnt enjoy the cabin, we DID! I just want to be transparent about our experience. It was the perfect size for 2 people to enjoy.

Super nice house on the lake. Loved waking up and sitting on the couch looking out at the Waterview. The lake house was really clean other than the raccoons digging in the trash lol

Very enjoyable setting and aesthetics. Hosts have created a very welcoming environment with the necessary essentials. They were also quick to respond when needed. Fun to see the variety of wildlife. Close to town but also felt like it was miles away. Would definitely stay again. Even considering bringing the entire family to stay in the main house next time.

Overall property was clean and cute. Plenty of kitchen wear but towels, wash clothes, hand towels very limited- not even enough to bath every night. Called for more but only left two more to complete our 5 night stay. Called again and brought 1 more. Also, not having wi-fi was difficult, along with limited phone service.

Beautiful stay

The house was clean and a nice view of the lake. It was a peaceful relaxing place to hang out. The driveway was tricky to pull in and park with a boat in tow. Overall a nice place to stay.

It was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Would absolutely stay at this place again.

We wanted a nice quiet place to spend a week during Spring break. This was the perfect place for that goal. Very clean, beautiful view off of the deck, and very quiet. Five stars all the way

Pleasant stay at this charming cabin with lake view.. Met our expectations.

We had a great time. Property is nice, clean and cozy. Kitchen had everything you need. Bathroom was nice with the jetted tub and high pressure shower. You could hear the guests in the adjoining property who were there with kids. Thankfully they left on Sunday which gave us Monday night by ourselves with total quiet by the lake. I still rate this place a 10 and will use again for future stays near Branson MO.

It was very clean. Evenings overlooking lake were so peaceful and calming. Short drive to all destinations. We highly recommend Dog wood Canyon! Host was great we had a question, and the response was very quick. Highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed the lake paradise cabin very much. Wish we could of stayed longer.
