Sheboygan Retreat in Black River

great place to stay and relax, a nice walk to the beach, all is so quite, beautiful wildlife...just relax

We were grateful to have found a pet friendly rental! The house is older and well maintained so it brought nice charm. However we noticed a lot of dirt, dust, hair and whatnot underneath the furniture. The master bed had some pet hair on it which we had no issue over looking until I woke up in the middle of the night and figured it was cat hair (I’m allergic). And one of the other beds had quite a bit of dog hair on it. The water in the showers didn’t get passed lukewarm unfortunately. And the water smelled strongly of iron and sulfur, which we would have been fine with if it had been disclosed in the property details but we have a baby who is bottle fed and we needed to have bottled water on hand.

Clean and spacious. Great deck for little kids. Close to the beach.

Good location walking distance to park and lake. Wildlife running through the yard. Nice area to gather outside. House was a little closed up from winter. Needs some repairs on outside.

This is our second year. Plan to make it a yearly event with the family. Brought our dog which is a challenge with all the wonderful friendly wildlife. Enjoy the walk to the lake and relaxing on the deck.

this property is excellent to say the least...i hate to post because i want to be sure that i get to come back 2-3 more times in the upcoming months

Lovely wooded neighborhood and quick access to the beach. However, we immediately noticed dozens of flies in the basement hallway leading up to the kitchen, along with a bad smell seemingly coming up from the basement. Open access from this hallway meant flies moved into the kitchen and elsewhere in the house. We brought this to the attention of the owner, who quickly responded 'enjoy your stay' but did not address the flies. The rest of the house was clean and orderly, but I'm just glad we did not plan to cook in this kitchen for our brief stay.

Over the years,we’re rented many cabins in many states.Yours is our favorite .It’s wanderfully equipped,clean and has a cozy atmosphere.

Enjoyed our stay. Even though it was a residential area, we felt like we were in the middle of the woods. Deer came right up to the living room window to check if we were comfy. I appreciate the extra amenities provided by our host, kitchen staples and, oh my gosh, enough TP to last our stay. That has not always been our experience with other hosts.
