Shaw Chic Oasis: Metro-Accessible 2BR Rowhouse

Good: location near supermarket Bad: front parking limit to 2 hrs max so expect to walk a few blocks to pay for parking Ugly: 1) dirty sticky floor 2) noisy AC that kept us UP ALL NIGHT because of strange loud humming pumping noise every 90 seconds or so ... need replacement to get new AC units 3) kitchen sink slow drain 4) upstairs bath sink trickles water faucet so you take a long time just to wash your hands! 5) ants, ants, and ants lower floor 6) old dirty couch sleeper bed 7) loosened 1 leg of dinning table that I had to tighten the bolts myself !

This was the perfect property for our family! It was clean, completely redone, and walking distance to everything. We loved it!

This vacation was easy to navigate with smooth booking for accommodations in an excellent location. The Metro is within walking distance to make getting places easier. There are few eateries near the house, but we did a Walmart delivery to save eating out too often especially in the morning. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Safe and friendly neighborhood.

This rowhouse was perfect for our stay. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and in an excellent location within walking distance of all of the major sites we wanted to see. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. There were ample restaurants and a large grocery store within a few blocks. If you are into fun divey-not-divey bars, be sure to check out Ivy & Coney, just around the block on 7th. Five stars, all around.

This was a lovely property. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with when I had a question. The townhome description was accurate. Check in and check out was very easy. It was very clean with quality sheets and name brand soaps. The location was close to the metro station. As stated in the ad, it was easy to put our car in the parking garage near by. We had a great experience exploring DC for my son's birthday.

Perfectly clean inside. Check out procedure super easy. Home is showing age. Needs some tlc. Back deck is no longer like the pictures. Dont get check in info untill that morning. Never had that before. A little unnerving. Would have been nice to know.

good location, nice place!

My sisters and I (all over 60 years old) found this wonderful place in the Shaw neighborhood to use as our home base in exploring Washington DC together. The place was clean with comfortable beds, a beautiful shower and Keurig coffee for breakfast. We bought SmarTrip metro passes as the green line Shaw-Howard stop was less than an 8 minute walk through a safe neighborhood, and we were able to explore all of DC affordably. There are some great ethnic restaurants nearby and a Trader Joe's within walking distance. Kelly was easy to work with and we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

Nice place

The property is clean, beautiful, and about 15 minutes from every major attraction. We had a great time in DC. The only problem is parking and that city is tough. There was parking for the apartment about a five minute walk. Overall absolutely loved it would recommend it.

Probably the best unit we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in a LOT as a large military family. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably and enough room to contain all of our belongings out of the way. PLENTY of good quality amenities to use within the kitchen and the bathrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were impressed by the condition of the grill (very well cared for). The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a grocery store close by that was easy to walk to. The house is in a great location and was only about a 5-10 minute Uber ride to all of the locations we wanted to visit. There was a parking space that was open the whole time we stayed there that we used for loading and unloading our car. Overall, this was a great place with a great price. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend staying here.

Like the place! Didn’t like neighborhood

We had a perfect stay in this charming row house. The location is great especially if you’re attending a convention- groceries and restaurants are nearby and everything is a short Uber or Metro ride away. Will definitely book again!
