Across the road, just steps from your front door is the southern end of Fingal Bay Beach, known to the locals as 'Kiddies Corner' as the calmer waters are ideal for small children to swim, and a boat ramp to launch your vessel. The pristine white sand beach winds along the coast, offering endless opportunities for swimming, past the popular surf beach in front of the surf lifesaving club (patrolled in season) and up to the famous Fingal Spit. The spit can be crossed at low tide (with caution, check times with surf club) to view the ruins of the outer lighthouse residence. Just 350m from your duplex you will find walking trails at Barry Park, and a lookout where you can watch humpback whales migrate north from mid-May to August and south from August to mid-November with their newborn calves. The local restaurant, cafes, grocery shop, a fantastic children's playground and great tree-lined pathways for walking and bike riding are all at your fingertips. Shoal Bay is just 3.5km away and Nelson Bay is a short 6.5km drive.

This 2-storey, contemporary duplex is perfectly positioned, overlooking the pristine coastline, with strategically designed windows drawing the beautiful views in. Boasting all modern inclusions, it has ducted air-conditioning and lovely polished floors upstairs and split systems in the downstairs bedrooms. It also features a modern, fully equipped kitchen and an open plan living area with a large LCD TV & DVD, plus free Wifi, and the property has a Foxtel dish so you can bring your own box with you and have access to Foxtel.

The private, oceanfront balcony boasts uninterrupted panoramic views all year round, and offers quality outdoor furnishings and a BBQ. There are 3 bedrooms, all with walk-in robes. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a queen bed and ensuite, as well as a single trundle bed in the robe, and the other 2 bedrooms are downstairs, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 single beds.

An internal laundry with washer and dryer and double lock up garage completes this magnificent holiday property.

    Great location and view opposite the beach.The apartment has everything you need in the kitchen.There is even a beach wagon, chairs, umbrella bucket and spade.The whole apartment was very clean.

    Great location with views of Fingal Bay. Facilities and kitchen very good and everything as described. Be aware the bed in the master bedroom upstairs is situated on a peculiar elevated platform with steps leading up either side. While this may sound fancy it does introduce trip hazards when getting in and out of bed particularly if you have to go to the toot in the middle of the night. We managed, however, and it was a lovely place to stay.

    Booking and check in was easy.Plenty of communication leading up to our stay. The property is beautifully presented inside and out and the location is the big draw card. Located right across from the beach and beach access it is perfect. Great takeaway and small grocery store is an easy flat 2 minute walk away. The property was clean and spacious. Has almost everything you need. We found it bizarre that there was no cleaning product/ equipment though. If we were staying for any length of time shorter than a week I would be annoyed that we would need to buy counter wipes, detergent etc. There is a BBQ, but my advice check the gas bottle before you decide to have a BBQ dinner. Gas bottle was empty and luckily we just made the servo before he closed. The property has aircon/heating and the view is amazing to just sit and watch. Master Bedroom has the bed raised up on a platform. Be careful with this, it's quite easy to mis-step. The property was clean and we would certainly stay again.

    Booking the property was simple but I was very unimpressed about the procedure to access the property. I had paid in full well in advance and felt the need to give the names and phone numbers of everyone coming was invasive and unnecessary. Equally the requirements to send images of my credit card including the CVV code and my driver’s license was excessive; payment had been processed well in advance and Stayz has all my contact details already. Also the listing for the property says it sleeps 7, if I read all the fine print I may have ascertained that the 7th bed was a fold up and no linen was included for it. Sadly I didn’t see this. I really think if you are claiming 7 beds linen for all should be included. In spite of these shortcomings we had a lovely time in a great spot.

    Property was excellent. Location and cleanliness. Missing some important utensils such as BBQ cleaners and blender. Agent Winnigs was unfriendly and any simple requests such as late checkout was a straight no. We asked to check out at 11am instead of 10am as 10am is too early to have breakfast, clean the property and pack. I asked if it is rented for that day and it was not even rented. I found this unreasonable and no effort made to accomidate.
