The tiny hamlet of Narrowsburg is called by New York Magazine, the gem of Sullivan County in the western Catskill Mountain. Two hours from NYC, Narrowsburg sits above the Delaware River with river access for boating, tubing, fishing, swimming, and sublime gazing. The town is a vibrant arts center with its own theater, opera company, galleries, artisan workshops, a curated book shop (One Grand Books), yearly culinary and arts festivals (Bumblebee and Riverfest), and more. The quaint small townlong town boasts an award-winning restaurant, a homey cafe, and a brick-oven pizza and wine space overlooking the river. Just minutes from the town is the Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center on the site of the historic Woodstock Festival, hosting outdoor concerts of world class musicians Santana, Bob Dylan, et al).

House was spacious, and in a great quiet location. We needed a place to stay while waiting to move but I'm sure this would be a great place for anyone vacationing.
Property was very well located, accommodations were well suited for the family. Home could have been left cleaner (dead bugs, some live ones too). “Lakefront” was misrepresented, no water in the “lake” or the stream that runs behind the house. That said, proximity to town, food, river and trails made for a great time.
The home is clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and in a truly tranquil location. I came with a group of friends for the Deep Water Literary Festival. The house is walking distance to all the main sights in town, but in a secluded gorgeous spot. The house had all the appliances we could have wanted and a true gem -- the hot tub! We will be back next year!
Very nice place in a quiet quaint village. Close to Bethel (Woodstock) . Great place for hikes.
We were very pleased with our lodgings. My family was very impressed. My sister has a place on the river, so we were able to walk to her place. My family also enjoyed the local coffee shop, The Tusten Cup, which was also walkable. We saw many deer, which was lovely to see. Nice quiet location. The only negative was that we could not work the tv?. (We are not very ‘techy’)
My husband and I with my adult children enjoyed a long weekend in Narrowsburg. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. We especially enjoyed our late afternoons hanging out on the deck. We cooked every evening and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The town itself is a bit sleepy and the market is very basic, but we took a short drive to Callicoon and found better groceries and a nice Sunday Farmer's Market. Unfortunately, it was a chilly weekend so we didn't get on the river as planned, but that would have been a fun thing to do. Overall, had a very nice time.
Property was relaxing and quiet.
Adored our stay in this cozy rental and hope to visit again as it was spacious, relaxing, and accommodated our need for tranquility and and slower living! Just as photographed; the rental was spacious, luxurious, and comfortable all at the same time! I loved waking up every morning to warm, natural, autumnal light pouring in through the living room windows and then ending each day relaxing by the fire with a tasty cocktail and engaging novel! Narrowsurg itself is a VERY small but charming town. We enjoyed gingerbread lattes and old fashioned pastries from the Tusten Cup each morning, as well as a delicious Italian dinner from Il Picollo Ponte! (I recommend the chicken picatta!) The Bruschetta Pizza from Carini's was one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Do note: if visiting during the week, many eating establishments have limited hours of operation! In town, I found the cutest antique store called Tinker and Nidge. The owner was kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about her inventory. I purchased a Victorian box and an authentic wool blanket from the United Kingdom to bring back home! As for recreation: One day we hiked Shuman Park in the Poconos and another we traversed Tusten Mountain which is not too far of a drive from the property! (Both moderate hikes _ Tusten Mountain trail provided a gorgeous view from the summit!!) On the last day of our stay we drove to Bethel and visited the Woodstock Museum. It is a MUST VISIT If you love music and 60's culture! We caught lunch in the town of Bethel at the Bethel Market Cafe and enjoyed well prepared food that tasted like a home cooked meal from childhood. Our sandwiches were to die for and the homemade baked goods were extraordinary! The owners were very pleasant, as well! If you love quaint establishments and genuine people, this is a great place to eat! All in all, we had a lovely stay in Narrowsburg and it delivered exactly what we were looking for in terms of a beautiful natural setting, small town charm, and relaxation. I'll never forget the Catskill mountain scenery, the powerful and beautiful Delaware River, and this comfy cottage! Much gratitude to our host, Nora for sharing her property with us! ♥
I had an absolute joy at the property. The location and the surroundings are relaxing and picturesque. The interior is in great taste and everything needed was available upon arrival. I'm already planning to come back soon and will strongly recommend it to my friends and colleagues.
We enjoyed the overall quietness. The town was a lot smaller than we anticipated, yet a pleasant experience. The caretaker was very attentive to an issue we had with the tv. We enjoyed the view through the windows and it was a comfortable house/setting to relax and unwind.
