Sequoia View Yurt Round House ~ Couple’s Romantic Retreat ~ 2 Miles to Sequoia

By far one of the best stays me and my wife had. The attention to detail, effort, and love put into this place is outstanding. Definitely can’t wait to come back.

This was the best STR we have stayed at! Owners thought of every detail, very sweet of them. It was quiet and relaxing and we were able to relax and get some much needed rest. Would highly recommend this stay.

The Yurt had a superb kitchen, a very nice bathroom, a superb mattress, great outdoor seating options, a nice view, quiet, spotless, a very friendly and helpful owner.

This is the perfect hideaway for a couple who values a beautifully maintained and unique home away from home while in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP area. The home is tastefully decorated with local touches without becoming cluttered or too busy. The owners provide some thoughtful touches such as park guidebooks as well as an interesting selection focused on round homes. There’s a cute dining table to enjoy meals if the weather outside isn’t cooperating. There are three different spots to sit outside with coffee or a cocktail, wine or beer. Each one takes advantages of shade at different points during the day. The view of the mountains and trees surround you almost all the way around and the setting is very serene. All of the items you’ll need to cook should are in a well set up kitchen. There’s even a mixer if you decide that you want to do some baking (we didn’t because burning the yurt down would have been a faux pas). Everything is tidy and organized; we kept it that way and it really felt like home. There were chocolates in a dish by the bed as well as a bowl on the dining table with individually wrapped kind bars and cookies. Little touches really make this place stand out. Thank you to Richard and Jeanie for being AMAZING hosts and sharing their place with others. We will stay again next time we are in the area.

The property itself is wonderful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood far from the traffic. They had everything you needed, including things I didn’t think of. I appreciated the notebook where they had the history of Three Rivers and included recommendations in the area that we could enjoy.

The yurt was beautiful, clean and very relaxing. The proximity to Sequoia National Park is perfect. We very much enjoyed the stay and highly recommend the yurt.

This place is perfect! We loved everything about it! The views of the mountains and the river running through valley below were great from inside the yurt and from the three sitting areas outside. The hosts provided more than we expected. It was clean, beautifully decorated and peaceful! We can’t wait to go back!

The yurt was excellent! Everything about our stay was perfect. It is obvious this yurt is well-loved and maintained. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a hand-written welcome card and fresh flowers on the counter. Everything about this place was luxurious - from the paper towels to the thoughtful things you may have forgotten basket in the bathroom. The owners thoughtfully prepared the yurt with anything we could have wanted or needed. They even had a water dispenser filled in the fridge with cold water along with refrigerated coffee creamers. It felt as if we were going to visit a friend and this is how they prepared the space for us. I've stayed in a good number of VRBOs, and this one is by far the best I've experienced yet. The view of the mountains from the yurt is amazing. It is very close to Sequoia National Park so coming and going from the park was easy. We could not have asked for a more comfortable stay. I cannot say enough great things about the Sequoia view yurt!

Wow...that word explains it all. If cleanliness is your priority, this is your place. I couldn't find a single spec of dust or a strand of hair anywhere. If special touches and details is your thing, this is your place. There were chocolates by the bedside, snacks for hiking, a cooler, room sprays, a diffuser....literally everything you could ask for. If star gazing is your thing, this is your place. We sat on the patio on a clear night and could see the Milky Way. I never saw so many stars! If quick communication by the host is important, this is your place. They responded promptly to my questions, offered details directions to find the Yurt, and offered dining suggestions, which did NOT disappoint! The location is perfect, but note that it does take awhile to get to the heart of the park (about an hour). But I don't think any other place would be as close and as perfect as this adorable yet spacious Yurt. My mom is particular about VRBO places, and she raved to everyone she knows about this one. The host even left a card for my mom, knowing it was her bday. How thoughtful!

Very unique property

This is absolutely the best Vrbo we've stayed at. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. They were very communitive, prior and during our stay. The house is spectacular and the view even better.

The Yurt Round House did not disappoint our expectations in any way. Truly a fun place to stay. Clean and comfortable with wonderful outside and inside views of the surrounding foothills. Easy access to Three Rivers to the south and only a very short drive to the entrance for Sequoia National Park to the north. Easy check-in and check-out with lots of local information provided by the hosts. Absolutely wonderful!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We had never stayed at a Yurt so this one set the bar extremely high. Every detail was thought and provided. The Yurt was smartly decorated, bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was so clean! The location was also perfect, just outside the entrance to Sequoia. I can recommend this rental more!!

Well maintained property with plenty of places to take in the views. Property owners are very easy going and pamper you with lots of perks that make the difference. At night you can do some great stargazing from the property.

We could not have been happier with our time at the yurt. The hosts were caring, the space impeccable, and our time at Sequoia National Park magical. The Giant Forest was spectacular, the view at Hume Lake stunning, and our hike to Muir Grove, while challenging for us, was so worth the effort. We loved the fact that we could cook, pack lunches for our day hikes, and do laundry as needed. The special touches throughout the space (for example, Ferrero Rocher chocolates in the bedroom, robes and slippers in the closet, etc.) made the space feel a bit spa-like. Highly recommend, 10 out of 10.

Spent 4 days at this beautiful yurt celebrating my 20year wedding anniversary with my husband. Beautiful property, very clean and has everything one would need. The photos do not do the place justice as it is more beautiful in person. Communication with the property owners was fast and efficient. Would 100% recommend this gorgeous and unique property if you are visiting the three rivers area.

Hands down the best vacation rental we have ever had, and we stay at several rentals each summer on national parks trips. Pictures don’t do it justice. Impeccably clean and fully stocked with every amenity you can imagine. Views and outdoor spaces are wonderfully relaxing. This is the best place for a couple to stay for a trip to Sequoia. 5 stars is not enough!

We fell in love with the yurt and this beautiful landscape. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and the hosts had provided everything you could possibly need for a stay and more. The perfect base and location to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The only negative thing I can say is that we have to leave and can’t stay here forever. Highly recommend, we will hopefully be back here in the future!

The hosts have thought of every detail. Clean, roomy, coffee maker with coffee, filtered water in fridge, comfortable bed, VIEW, parking near door, early and easy check in instructions, easy check out instructions, everything you need in the spacious kitchen, chocolates on the night stand, snacks on the dining table, cream for coffee, games, spacious shower with great pressurw. We'll be visiting again!

We had a great anniversary here. We were particularly happy with how well outfitted the kitchen was--we had a great time cooking together. It's a really unique experience.

Trust me this Yurt is amazing! SO clean and beautiful. We've never stayed at a place so nice. The cleanliness and hospitality made us feel very comfortable and happy. It's close to the entrance of Sequoia too! Definitely worth the stay even for two nights.

Very nicely decorated with many little touches that make you feel welcome and pampered. Very clean. We felt honored to be able to stay in such a nice place with an amazing view of the foothills. Once of the nicest rentals we have stayed in. Highly recommend!

We still don't know what the upper level of the yurt is for. But our stay was magical. The yurt itself is perfect; and it isn't possible to describe all the different ways the light strikes the mountains and the ways of viewing it from three patios. Healing balm during the election season!

Everything was exceptional, exceeding all expectations. A darling Yert, with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed all the outdoor patio spaces, loving the view and watching the mule deer and hummingbirds. Comfy beds! it is just darling! You must stay here!!!

Fantastic place. We loved it!

I've stayed in a lot of VRBO's throughout the country and this one is, by FAR, the best I've experienced. The Yurt is located in a very scenic and peaceful setting with amazing views of the Sierra's. Everything was sparkling clean. The hosts go far above and beyond to add to the experience by including so many extras - robes, slippers, chocolates, hiking snacks, coffee, tea, creamer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions, etc, etc...Beautifully furnished, comfortable bed. Hosts were very responsive with lots of info and suggestions. Located just 2 miles from the NP entrance. Really enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well for enjoying sunsets and morning coffee. Recommend Tony's Taverna (Greek food truck) and Riverview and Gateway restaurants (outdoor seating with river views) - all a few miles away in Three Rivers. You don't need to think twice, book it!

This is a remarkable location with no expense spared on amenities, comfort items and overall decor. The location is up against the Gateway to Sequoia national Park. And positioned so that a quiet coffee on the patio or to read a book on the nearby deck is only interrupted by the sound of hawks, families of quail, and woodpeckers. It’s a delight to be that deep in nature and I would recommend this location to anyone.
