Semi-Oceanfront Dog Friendly Home w/ Private Pool, Hot Tub, Foosball, Basketball

The hot tub jets were not working upon arrival. We contacted the host and they sent someone to fix but the pressure was minimal. Someone came back while we were out and left it uncovered and turned off so it was then cold and completely unusable. The contact would take over 24 hours to reply but never really resolved anything. They just wanted me to increase my initial survey ratings. It did not appear the floors were thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. There was even dog kibble under a bed upon arrival. This home is in a great location and could be a great place to stay but needs some serious maintenance and deep cleaning. Many of the pots and pans were in terrible condition and could not be used.

This was our third summer in the Outer Banks and by far this was probably our favorite property especially the location and access to the beach. We would definitely rent this location again as long as our group doesn’t grow in size.

We had a great time. This was our 31st Wedding Anniversary, we enjoyed the room and location of the house from the beach and having a pool and hot tub!! Nice area to walk the dogs and just relax. Only thing I can say is TV in the living room never worked but 1 day just think the remote needed new batteries. the house could use a few updates or repairs. The Air needs replacing on the lower floors. All in all we did enjoy our stay! Communication was great and check in was easy! Thanks Patrick and Crystal

We had a great time here, and would stay again. The location is beautiful. The swimming pool and hot tub are very nicely maintained. The living room is gorgeous, especially after we cleaned the windows. It really is semi-oceanfront. We could see and hear the waves crashing. The property looks like it fell into moderate disrepair years ago, and the new owner is starting to fix it up. It has new floors, some new furniture, new blinds, new curtains. Some things are still broken: some siding, window screens, and interior doors. There were a few pieces of debris in the yard. The floors were immaculate, but the cleaning crew missed the windows and appliances, so we spent our first day cleaning those. The property manager was very apologetic and offered to send a crew mid-stay, but by that time, we had already cleaned. The house has a giant dog-crate, which our dog loved. She slept in it every night of her own choice. For my tastes, the master bed is too soft, and the living room sofa is too firm. On our last day, we experienced a gale: rain and 40mph winds. On that day, it was a little scary. The whole house shook and the windows rattled a lot. Probably not the safest place to be in a gale or a hurricane, but it was exciting and memorable. We may have been the first visitors of the season. Maybe everything will be fixed by summer. I hope so, because this house has the potential to be gorgeous. It could be five stars, but it's not quite there yet.

Over all the experience was good. The house could use a good cleaning. The couch and the rug in the living room were filthy.all of the air vents looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years.

Overall good size house for a larger family. Great location. House is a bit dated and needs a lot of minor repairs. Ants present in several rooms. Linens not provided, nearly $200 in charges to have sheets and towels avail. They should list this up front.

this house was perfect for us! it is set back one house from the beach which made for a very short walk which was nice since we have little ones and lots of stuff to bring to play in the sand. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to have a great stay! we also loved the location, we have never been to Rodanthe before
