The house was great, clean, well equiped and well located. The communication is easy with the host. I recommend!
Wonderful home set in a wooded area in the Bolton Landing area. Beautiful area nestled in the woods, quite and serene. The home was cozy and had a fun game room in the basement. All appliances were nice, furniture and beds were comfy and the back deck and front porch made it nice to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings.
My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. Tucked away on a private road but close to all the fun Lake George has to offer. Found the corn hole boards upon arrival and started our fun! The kitchen is amazing and was stocked with everything I needed. Family room couches are very comfortable. Love the wooden dining table. AC works great. All the bedrooms are inviting and baths are stocked with essentials. Awesome basement that my 20 year old boys loved!! Ping pong, pool and foosball. Used the fire pit area and cooked s'mores. Walked to Trout lake-not far. Communication was prompt and easy. I highly recommend this home.
Beautiful home and Francesco & Lucinda we’re excellent hosts. Home was comfortable and very clean. Location was excellent for our itinerary. Kitchen well stocked with all necessary tools. Rooms we’re comfortable and our only disappointment was we could not use the outdoor fire pit because of our schedule. Highly recommend this home for a family visit to Lake George.
The property is beautiful and we had prompt responses to any communication we had. The pictures speak for themselves.
This was a lovely property; very clean and spacious.; very peaceful setting. Furnishings are pretty basic -- mattresses on elevated frames, etc. Although it is walking distance to Trout Lake, you don't really have access to Trout Lake (at least not in September; in the summer there might be a dock you can swim out to, but we were more interested in access for fishing.) While the listing mentions a gas fireplace, you are to use it for ambiance and not for heat, as the heat from the fireplace could damage the tv above. We translated this to don't leave the fireplace on for long. The only chairs I saw on the front porch were fold up camping chairs, although there is nice furniture on the back deck. The reason for the 4 star rating (as opposed to 5) is that the tenant has no control over the thermostat -- the owner controls it remotely. (The thermostat requires an access code to unlock, and they weren't giving us the code.) As an adult, I found this odd --not to mention paternalistic/controlling. It also made me feel like I was being nickeled and dimed. (Trust me, we were charged enough to cover the cost of utilities.) The annoying nature of the situation was exacerbated by the lack of blankets on the beds and in the closets (just sheets and bedspreads). (There were about 3 throws in a basket in the living room -- and they may supply blankets in the winter, I don't know.) So I wouldn't stay here again, because I just don't need that level of nonsense. (If I wanted someone else controlling my thermostat for a week, I would have stayed with relatives.) But if you're OK with this kind of weird paternalism, I recommend the property.
great experience overall! there was plenty of room, It was clean and tidy and every bathroom stocked with anything we could need! owners kept in touch and answered our questions immediately. property was amazing inside and outside- the huge fire pit was a hit! highly recommend!
Absolutely gorgeous home! Great for families! With large open kitchen/dining/living room area and spacious bedrooms. The front porch and back deck are great to sit back and relax. The outdoor fire pit is a must do while staying there! The home is a short 8 min drive to Bolton landing (cute town and where we rented our boat from). It is also walking distance to trout lake.
The property was beautiful and has tons of space for everyone to be either together or spread out. It was clean and close enough to most things. The lake access was a little disappointing or we just didn’t find a place to go too other than that owners and property were great!
Family stayed for a ski trip…conveniently located near Gore Mt. and Lake George. House was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The home owners were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely look to stay here again if we’re back in the area.
