Secluded Luxury; In-law Suite on Evergreen Lake

Excellent place to stay, the lake was beautiful, pet friendly and the host was very welcoming

Very clean. The house as a whole was an architectural beauty. In law suite was spacious and beautiful. Bathroom and shower were first rate. Back porch was extremely peaceful and comfortable. Exactly what we were looking for. We will be back when visiting Lynchburg again.

My husband and I booked super last minute, with our 2 little dogs and Nancy was very accommodating! The lakefront property was very peaceful with the most beautiful fall leaves! The space was very high end with a super cozy vibe, and had all the creature comforts….great snacks, an abundance of charging stations, toiletries galore, lots of blankets and linens, and pet friendly! The king size bed was super comfy and that spa bathroom….super long vanity, amazing shower….All in all the perfect place to stay after going to The Natural Bridge and Crabtree Falls…

Absolutely serene environment and very sweet host who checked on us and could not have made our stay more comfortable.

Super nice place , quiet at night sone of the best sleep in a long time . Great location to see the leaves , did both of Thomas Jefferson’s homes , went to Wades mill, Peaks of Otter and Blue Ridge parkway. The suit is well equipped and good Resturant close by. Planning a spring trip return .

This is my 2nd stay here, and probably won't be my last. I brought my 6-year-old son this time for a weekend getaway to do some fishing. The property is spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. The outdoor space is just as good with the large covered patio overlooking the lake. Nancy is very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. There's a grocery store and restaurants nearby. There's a parking spot for guests in the driveway. There's a short walk down a hill to get to the private entrance around the back of the house. It's very manageable so long as you don't have mobility limitations. I'd gladly stay here again.

Very lovely property, beautiful inside and out. As long as you can navigate the dirt path sweeping around the perimeter, you’ll be able to enjoy a nice quiet spot in a well-appointed house. We would stay again if in the area.

Great place with everything we needed. Would’ve loved to have hung out on the back patio but it seemed it was a bit buggy. Can hear the owners upstairs and their dog occasionally but it didn’t ruin the trip.

Beautiful and comfortable stay. Relaxing, peaceful. Fully furnished with everything you would need. Serene setting on the lake. Very nice neighborhood to walk and see beautiful plants and lots of deer.

Had a great stay, loved the inside of the place and all the amenities. They were very quick to answer any questions. This place was perfect for walking our dog and going back and forth to Liberty University to get our son settled. The only thing we didn't like were the outside grounds, lots of stuff scattered, like old chairs, etc. The grill and sitting areas were very pleasent but the pond was not (probably just the time of year). We are a very fit family and walking up and down the pathway, was challenging, it can get slippery and I fell one time and twisted my leg. If you come back after dark, it's very difficult to see the path and unfortunetly there were several areas of dog poop right on the path. My husband discarded it all the first day because we knew our son would be late.

Amazing !!!!! Nancy is truly a blessing of a host especially if you are a single mama traveling and nervous. My son and I felt comfortable and safe from the moment we arrived . The place was equipped with everything you could possible need. In addition, snacks were available which was super thoughtful after a long drive. Chocolates were left in each room which was a nice special touch . Entire house was Spotless and organized. We didn’t partake in the outdoor activities but my son sure did enjoy the bathtub and I enjoyed the couch overlooking the beautiful view and so did our puppy! This is def. a reoccurring spot for us since my son is looking to attend Liberty in a few years. Stores are close by if needing to shop for groceries or looking for fast take out .

Great little weekend get away. The area was beautiful and serene. The host was welcoming and very accommodating. I would recommend bringing an overnight bag you can carry rather than a wheeled suitcase due to the path leading down to the door. If you need a quiet place to relax this is a great place to stay. I will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful property on serene lake

This suite was such a lucky find, and was just as described. The locale is just beautiful and the comfy outdoor area looks out over a pretty lake. Wildlife is everywhere and we enjoyed fireflies at night, singing birds and wandering deer family! Everything inside was very clean, beautifully appointed and SO comfortable. Nancy was quick to respond to any questions. I can think of nothing that would have made our stay any better - we will definitely be back!!

The listing did not talk about the steep hill you had to climb up and down to get to the back of the house. It was hard to carry the suitcases down this hill, and walking back up was hard. Outside the door, mosquitoes did not allow us to enjoy the view. The VRBO contact was very kind and very accommodating. An improvement would be making the path to the house easier.

We were in Virginia for a week to visit family. The vrbo was beautiful and definitely secluded. We were at the vrbo most of the time due to the amount of space and activities available. Nancy was an amazing host, very easy to talk, she was right on anything we needed. I would suggest a stepping path from the parking area to the backside of the house where the entrance is. It was quite a steep and long walk when carrying items down the wet hill. The vrbo was clean just not to my ocd standards. Otherwise the house was beautiful and the perfect size for what we needed.

We were in town for a couple of nights and needed a comfortable place to stay. Couldn’t have been happier. Beautiful setting, very easy and clean. Would stay there again.

Me and my 2 children and 2 dogs had the best 4 days in this home! Clean, spacious, updated and fully stocked. My kids loved fishing off the dock, jumping in the lake and big bonfire at night. My dogs loved the freedom and the owners dogs were so friendly as well. We will definitely be back!!

Nancy was a great host! She provided all we needed and was always available for any needs or questions we had. We would recommend her property to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful accommodations!

It is beautiful. Quite the hill to climb if you are out of shape, but we loved it and found ourselves relaxing and just enjoying the natural surrounding.

My husband and I travel at least five times a year and use Vrbo quite often and this has been our best experience, BY FAR!! When I read reviews that state that someone goes above and beyond and then I experience it for myself, it is not always true. This is not the case with Nancy. The description of her getaway is spot-on. She is the most attentive and attention to detail Vrbo owner I have ever meet. I even told my husband that if we lived closer, she would be someone I would want to be friends with. Her home has one thing that I have never experienced with others. She puts one thing into it that I have never seen. Love. That is such a rarity. Nothing was left out. As I titled this, It's The Little Things...that is the truth. TV had apps with no commercials,, kitchen had everything-spices, saran wrap, spatulas, bowls, quality pots and pans, etc., water from the refrigerator, ice maker, quality coffeemaker, plenty of dishtowels. Comfortable couch and chair with footstool, spare bedroom had games for all ages, bathroom was gorgeous and fully stocked with everything. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap (and not cheap stuff!), Bath and Body Works hand cream, plenty of toilet paper, wonderful shower that got warm immediately. King bed in master bedroom. I don't have enough space to write all the positives. There are no negatives at all! The location in Lynchburg was wonderful and safe. Nancy is a needle in a haystack-difficult to find. We will be back for sure

Place is very nice with relaxing backdrop on the pond and hills. Deer walking around and pond full of fish. Had a great time relaxing after wife’s surgery and having grandson visit. If the weather was warmer it would have been really fun to enjoy. But it’s mid March so that can be iffy. Host was communicated well. Would definitely stay again.

We were looking for a comfortable to place to stay while we were in Lynchburg and couldn’t have been more pleased.

I brought my daughter‘s dog and came to Lynchburg for the weekend to surprise her. She is a student at liberty University. She had no clue I was in the area, but her roommate and two friends did. Nancy graciously welcome the dog as well as the college students. She went above and beyond to accommodate us and even let the girls stay late as I had to leave early in the morning after departure. She allowed us to build a fire and there were games to play and a dock sit on by the lake. I would highly recommend this property as well as its owner. 10 out of 10.!

We had no issues at this place. They we friendly the place was clean and comfortable. If we were forced to come up with a complaint the bath water didnt get as hot as we would have liked but that is just preference. Nothing was wrong. This was the perfect place to stay.

Location on a peaceful lake made for a restful stay. Location is top notch. Accommodations were very comfortable. Our host made suggestions for activities and dining that helped to enhance our stay. Great VRBO

Had a great fall getaway with my two boys (ages 10 and 15). Boys loved fishing and exploring the woods with the puppies! Nancy was a wonderful host and provided everything we needed (and more)! Highly recommend!! :)
