Trip was good but had stuff stolen from us in the house.
This property was the dirtiest home we have ever stayed in. The kitchen had crumbs all over the floors upon check-in and as soon as we started bringing food out there were ants all over. Every dish we pulled out of the cabinets had food leftover on them. The bottom level of the home should be considered a health hazard due to the poor sanitary conditions; as soon as you head downstairs you are hit with the overwhelming stench of urine that covers the entire downstairs. There is 1 bedroom and an additional bed that we did not want to risk using because the stench covered the beds. There were pillows with blood on them and balls of hair in almost every corner. The main level of the home also had sanitary issues, the floors were covered in hair and there is a couch near the kitchen that was so stained with dark spots we didn't dare sit on it. We moved this couch to cover the stairway to the bottom floor and there was hair, trash, crumbs, and kitchen utensils underneath which was disgusting. The stairway railings are spaced so far apart that my 2 year old walked right through one and fell about 6 feet; there is no way these railings are up to code and this is something we have asked to be looked into. She suffered a large bump on the back of her head and we were terrified the rest of the weekend that she would fall again considering the top floor also had these large gaping holes in the rails. I have contacted the property management company and they have not made things right.
Great cabin for a large family with children and dogs! Loved the quiet area nestled in the woods. Huge deck. Plenty of space (and hot water) for all of us (12). Well stocked kitchen. Loved the huge secluded beach. Short walk (~0.2 mi) through the woods. Our kiddos aged 18 mo to 7 years had no trouble walking to it. Saw bald eagles every day. Bonus - The path to the beach crosses the Crown Point trail, which we loved walking our dogs on each day. One concern - If you have small kiddos, be aware the rails on the railing are wide enough to walk through. We blocked the railing with coolers and had no issues. Would definitely stay here again!
Only one bedroom had space( drawers and closet) to unpack our suitcases. Also could use a new cleaning team. Really needs a complete deep clean.
Loved it. Would benefit from some cleaning supplies under the sink to clean the counters and whatnot. Also, the TV was not hooked up but we managed to get it figured out. Other than that it was a great spot four our annual veterans trip. Very peaceful place to stay. Note: Map quest will not take you to the house if you are coming from McCall. You will need to drive 1/4 mile or so further down the road to reach the house.
Location, seclusion, and lake were amazing. Home is clean although very dusty- wifi was not working at all & no cell reception made troubleshooting impossible
Great cabin. Walking distance to lake. Comfy like home settings.
Not as clean as it should be and thought it was closer to the lake but we had lots of fun.
We had a wonderful time, house was comfortable and very close to the water for all the lake fun of summer.
Great Cabin! The best part is the quick little trail that leads to an amazing beach! The cabin slept all of us easily. We will be back!
