Johns Island, South Carolina
The house is situated on 2.9 acres of land. The property extends to Wadmalaw bridge. The land across the water at the back is in permanent conservation. The land across the road in front of the house is a Christmas tree farm. That is why there is only one neighbor - retired couple who travel a great deal. The house itself has stunning views of the water and abundant wildlife. There are beautiful birds, albino squirrels and dolphins swimming close to the dock. The location is ideal as grocery stores , restaurants , pharmacy, healthcare providers are all within a five minute driving distance. The beaches are all less than a half hour away. Kiawah and SeaBrook islands are only a half hour away. Charleston Downtown is also about a half hour away The Angel Oak Tree is only a few minutes walking distance from the house. There are two floaters on the dock. One is exclusively for use of the guest. The other is for the owner- a boat is secured to the floater. There are fishing rods of sorts, a crab trap and two kayaks for guest use. The kayaks have recently been moved from the floater to the basement because of strong winds Additionally, an otter had made himself quite cosy under one of them . There is also a rather shy bobcat who keeps his distance. The woods with tall pines, magnolia trees and other indigenous species like oaks, and elderberry shrubs render the surroundings very peaceful. This is a very unique piece of property so very close to town.
