The location of the property was wonderful. The deer were a fantastic part of our stay. The host responses very timely and helpful. The washer and dryer option is why I chose this home. I think its overpriced for some of the features it lacked. The switch next to the washer turns off the furnace which was accidentally switched off since there is no label and we woke up cold. When the furnance does run it's very loud in the master bedroom, in the summer this wouldn't be an issue. The coffee maker and sink needed a good cleaning. The showerheads are very dated and water sprayed everywhere. I think some TLC and this place would be absolutely wonderful.
We stayed 2 nights. The location was great and home was very tidy.
Great place to stay. Very clean and had everything we needed. Terry the host was great to communicate with and provided useful information to us. Would stay again
We all very much enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. I appreciated some of the thoughtful touches (for example the small flashlight left on the nightstand as well as the various appliances in the kitchen). We spent the bulk of our leisure time on the porch enjoying the views and the wildlife. And it was easy to see why Terry has attained super host status.
Had a great time. Location was private and home was very clean.
Was a great cabin! Outside of town but close to some beautiful hiking spots. Super clean and cozy.
The interior was obviously nicely and recently remodeled and updated. However there was little privacy, with the 3 beautiful exterior glass doors, one of which opened directly into the master bedroom. The tap water was not potable, but there were a number of store bought water containers in the fridge. Beds and furniture were comfortable, but we found bedding and towels, apparently from the most recent tenant, in the dryer. Other specific issues we found will be directed to the property manager. There was a certain trepidation upon arrival and then actually seeing the property from outside. A shed, some junk, a vacant house and the grass needed to be cut etc. What was described as a front porch could better be described as a side porch. The photos on the VRBO website were very selective. We rated the property as 4 stars. It seems as if it were relatively new as a rental, but could use a little work.
We were very impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin! The location is also really neat; convenient short drive to Durango proper but outside of town in a beautiful rural farm setting. We really enjoyed being the center of a herd of mule deer and a flock of turkeys that passed through the yard several times! The cabin kitchen is well-stocked, all the linens were high quality and comfy. And Terry dropped by to say hello and check if we needed anything, etc., which was very hospitable! Communication for check-in, accessing the streaming tv, and check-out was excellent. We definitely intend to stay here again when visiting our daughter at college!
