Stayed Jul 3, 2025The cabin has a great location; however, we encountered some issues during our stay. We found bugs and carpenter ants, and the pull-out mattress on the daybed was uncomfortable to sleep on. Additionally, we lost power for several hours on one of the days, which also resulted in a lack of water, possibly due to its reliance on electricity for water supply. On a positive note, the cabin is well-stocked with essentials.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024Described as secluded property with fire pit but arrived to find there was another cottage and the fire pit was shared. Who wants to sit at a fire with strangers? There were ants all over the bathroom floor (living and dead). Any crawling up walls, in the sink and shower. There were literal chunks of animal (presumably dog) hair throughout the house and on porch. Cobwebs and dead bugs on porch, that couldn’t have been cleaned in many weeks. My son put his sweatshirt on the floor when we arrived and when I picked it up, there was dust and dirt on it. The rocking chairs have clearly not been moved and cleaned under. There was a layer of dirt on the game shelf that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Advertised as having a queen bed in the loft, it was nothing more than a glorified mattress topper. Had I known this, I would have brought my own roll-out mattress.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024Loved the setting with farms and fields all around. You can see all the stars at night. No noise except for the owls. Thoughtfully equipped for the travelers from afar. Close to Sampson State Park as we were there for a dog show. Thank you for letting us spend the weekend at your bunkie. We'll be back!

Stayed Aug 16, 2024My husband and I stayed 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary in the Finger Lakes. While the location was nice, unfortunately we found the accommodations a bit disappointing. There were quite a few ants in the house. We noticed several ant traps that were not doing the job. We would have understood seeing a couple given the summertime amd location, but there were a lot. While the description of the property states this sleeps up to 4, the two bed options were very uncomfortable. The Queen bed in the loft was not a mattress. It was more like a flat beanbag bed. We knew the area in the loft was small but did not expect the mattress to be like this. My husband and I used the daybed downstairs. The mattresses on the daybed and pull-out were hard to sleep on as they were too soft and could feel the springs. Usually a daybed allows for the pull-out to pop-up to make a full bed, We were unable to do this so one of us slept on the bed and the other on the pull out below close to the floor. We also were not expecting the strong odor of sulfer in the water. That might be something you want to inform of in the description so people can plan to bring their own water upon arrival.

Stayed Aug 5, 2024When we arrived we saw a few ant traps and thought nothing about it - but by that night we were inundated with many large black ants in the bathroom and kitchen. I called Vacasa the next morning and they told me they would send the info off to the local staff and I told the corporate office to let them know I am ok with them coming in to spray that day. I never heard from the local office and that night the ants were even worse. We had them in the downstairs bed and bed up in the loft. I checked out the next morning and continued many conversations with the Vacasa corporate office to refund my money and after 10 days and many phone calls I got a whopping $58. My suggestion is that anyone that rents this place should make sure that the ant problem is cleared up. I was upset because with the ant traps already there they knew they had a problem but chose to still rented it out. Unfortunately, since the management company is not in town solving problems is much more difficult.

Stayed Jul 17, 2024The full kitchen was nice. The grounds and surrounding area was very nice, woods, corn fields and vineyards. The gas station down the road has plenty of food and beverages. This would be a good wine trail hang out.

Stayed Jun 14, 2024We had a great time staying on this property. We came for a girls getaway and the location was perfect. It was close to wineries, breweries, and watkins glen. As others have stated, the loft was very small, but we made it work. I would suggest if you have back problems, to sleep on the bed on the lower level. This was more comfortable. It was the perfect place to hang out with friends and relax for a couple days.

Stayed May 15, 2024We enjoyed our stay at Sunny Serenity! Just enough amenities, and the kitchen is well appointed. Our 4 year old loved the loft space, which was perfect cause it's a very low ceiling. Favorite part was the screened in porch. The location is ideal for all the great spots along the east side of Seneca Lake.
